  1. Provided all the rookies are named, that has 20 on the field after having 20 last week.
Bont then looks to be brought in due to his supercoach scoring favouritism, thus creating a full premo side next week

  2. My forward line is very bare this week so I hope the rookies on the forward bench get named or I am up Schitt Creek.
(9 of the top 10 forwards, using average score, have a Bye this week and 6 of the top 10 forwards are Bulldogs!)

    1. And some people didn’t start with Will Brodie or even have him now! At least I’ve got 1/10 top forwards this week!

      1. I didn’t start Brodie. At the start of the season Fyfe looked like he would be back in 3-5 weeks, and Brodie’s spot in the best 22 looked far from guaranteed.
Right now, not starting Brodie looks like a dumb rookie move. But if you go back to the start of the season it wasn’t so clear cut. Reread the chat. It was clearly divided.
If you revisit starting lineups you would ask why you wouldn’t start Witts, Hewett, Sicily, Brodie. All seem like no brainers now. But at the start of the season Witts was still struggling with injury and didn’t play practice games or preseason games. The choice between Crisp plus Bowey type seemed an ok call compared to Sicily + Hewett with one guaranteed premium.
In the end I didn’t start any of them. Current ranking 50k.
Yeah, it’s all about starting lineups. This year I went pure guns and rookies and it was the year you shouldn’t.
So whilst I am suffering every time Brodie tons up and gifts sides a top premo for 200k putting me further and further behind, I keep recalling why I made the conscious decision not to include him.
I also say to anyone being mildly derogatory about coaches who haven’t included certain players to be a bit wary about 20/20 hindsight. Congrats if you made the right call and included Brodie, but it so honestly could have been so different if Fyfe came back earlier and Brodie had a couple of ordinary games.

        1. I had the exact same thoughts with Brodie and how Fyfe could play a massive role on his scoring. I expected him back in a couple weeks, not until the byes

        2. Certainly not having a go at coaches, because like you I went safe guns like Ridley, Miller, etc, and avoided players such as Sicily, etc.
My comment reflected that with so many premo forwards, I’m lucky to have the 1/10 available- have had to trade hard to cover for early choices and grateful that one choice from the start of the year came through- as I missed sooo many others!

        3. Hey Phil,
If you had of picked Brodie for the 3-5 weeks til Fyffe originally was ment to come back you would have
1/ Made 200 large in five weeks
2/Seen the results and kept him
3/would be substantially higher in the rankings
4/And would not be so philthy.

      2. I put up a poll for who I should bring in last week, Brodie or B Smith. Overwhelmingly Smith. I should’ve trusted my gut and gone Brodie lmao

        1. TU/TD polls can be a bit hit and miss as they tend to favour the hot stuff right now, these polls tend to give more concrete info as I think more data is gathered in one place, increases the success of the hive mind.

          1. Yeah no insult meant. Nobody saw that headbutt coming anyway. Now means that I’ll grab a round 12 bye player and have an extra player these couple weeks now
