      1. You’d think it’s probably a horses for courses thing against Goldy.

Of course, in the old days, he woulda been coached with “you see what happened to Stef Martin? Your turn to do that this week, son”

        0

        1
  3. Yes big Martin is in (for now)
McCarthy back in, Grimley a chance and could we see Petracca finally pull on the boots?

    5

  4. Cox all the way from Oklahoma State Uni, named at full-forward and not on extended bench – now that is interesting…

    8

    0
  5. Now that I don’t have to worry about Martin, I’m wondering whether it’s worth axing Barlow. It’s pretty obvious that he’s not going to be a keeper by year’s end, so he’s going to cost a trade anyway, I just don’t know whether it’s worth taking his scores for a few weeks to gather more information and make a better decision about who to trade in…

    1

    10
  6. Stef Martin in is a relief. Oliver should only be rested 1 week. Hopefully Petracca stays on when Clarry returns!

  7. Bit off topic, but every time I access this site on my phone I get pop ups galore??? I get a virus message & I also get a free I phone message, there is another one which is a redirect. Appreciate if someone can help…

      1. Me too. I D/loaded an app called adblock plus but can’t work out how to set it up.works OK on Firefox on the puta so if anyone knows how to set it up on the phone that would be great.

        1. Reported it a while back to Motts. Glad to know it isn’t just me going mad.

My adblockers don’t seem able to stop it.

        2. No need for a downgrade to grab DBJ with Young, Papley, Hewett, McCarthy, Brown, AMT all named.

So where’s the best trade for JJ?

          T/u Rance
T/d Waite via dpp and lose fwd/dpp link.

    1. SCT recently changed servers which also rid the site of all bugs. This problem only occurs on mobile networks, not on any wi-fi connections. Still being told that it’s a device issue, not a site issue. Happens to me as well 😉

      1
      1. Hi guys – I was chatting to Motts about an annoying “win an iPhone 6” dodgy scam pop up a month or so ago on the old SCT site – since the upgrade I haven’t seen this but have been randomly sent to app purchase pages from SCT, the last one for cut the rope – pretty annoying and only happens on SCT when viewing on my iPhone 5s (also on latest 9.3.1 iOS now)

    2. Yep I get that too, anyone else get it and know how to fix it? It’s the only thing I don’t like about this great website!

      1

      0
      1. Thought it was just me! It’s not a great fix but what has worked is turning off javascript. Of course if you visit other sites that need it you’ll have to turn it back on

        0
    3. It may well be a device issue or a service provider issue. I have never gotten pop-ups from the site on my phone.

      1. Yeah well if he didn’t play then I’ll be down a player but I was considering trading Grimley/cox into my forward line if Martin dosnt play as I have a R/F in R3

        2

    1. I can’t see him travelling to Melb and not playing. Given the injury I think they would keep him in Brissy if not 100%.

    2. Yes Twitch I think it’s a definitely a possibility. I’m planning on swearing and panicking if it happens.

  8. I am starting to wonder if Z.Merrett is a must have fwd. Plus Barlow has been serviceable but not impressive and Mundy is back soon.

Thoughts on trading Barlow to Z.Merrett this week?

    5

    8
    1. Keeping Barlow for now but bringing Zerrett via Johannisen trade. Anything less than a ton from Barlow vs Carlton and he’s most likely gonski next week along with de Goey / Sheridan / Kennedy depending on performances.

If you have no one else to trade out to bring in Zerrett then you may want to pull the plug on him, but if Barlow was ever going to start pulling his finger out, then it’s this weekend v Carlton. At least that’s what I think the remaining coaches currently still holding him are hanging on.

  9. thinking that DBJ is a must have this week, but who he comes in for is the question that I’ve been thinking about all week. I’ve narrowed it down to papley (leaves me with just under 200k) and lonergan (leaves me with 330k).
    t/u: trade papley
    t/d: trade lonergan
    comment: look elsewhere

    2

    15
  10. Have traded JJ down to DBJ my question is

TU Trade Davis for Zaka $523k; or
TD Trade Papley for Zorko $569k
Choice is limited by amount of cash available. Is Zaka a keeper?

    12

    11
    1. In my view Zaka is keeper material. Looking at his historical scores, he has regularly gone well over 100 when he has 30ish possessions, it’s just that that hasn’t occurred regularly in past seasons. In contrast, so far this year, that is almost the norm as he is the Bombers main mid. Can’t see that changing anytime soon either.

      2

      0
  11. I will be moving Brodie Smith from my MIDS to DEF when I trade out Johannisen this week, but who to bring into my mids?

TU: A Mid/Fwd like Zorko or Z Merrett as all my other mid/fwd are in the FWD line
TD: A premium mid that I don’t have – Danger, Parker, Fyfe, Ward

    1

    26
  12. Currently sitting on 27 trades and I am really not all that enthusiastic about the Papley to DBJ move for a 100k gain minus another trade.

    9

    0
  13. HELP – I can’t decide which of these 3 non-playing MIDS to trade out to bring in Darcy Byrne-Jones (via DPP)

    TU: Dunkley
    TD: Gresham
    Comment : Davis

    10

    6
    1. Brian – tough choice!!

Davis has at least made some money for you, but he still has a 17 break even and should be back next week. I’m also surprised he hasn’t had one bigger score yet – given his experience at WAFL level in Perth.

Obviously this may be incorrect, but I feel that Gresham will get more games that Dunkley this year (even with all the injuries currently at the kennel) – so I would probably offload Dunkley for DBJ.

      3

      0
  14. Alright guys here’s my dilemma:

Option 1: JJ > Docherty, Papley > DBJ (via DPP). This will leave me with no FWD/DEF swing as they’ll all be in the forward line. Will leave me with $285l in the bank.
Option 2: JJ > Zerrett, Papley > DBJ (via DPP). This lets me keep my FWD/DEF swing, but I’ll have $246k left over.

If I go with option 2, my worry is that my FWD line will be too stacked for this early in the season. It will contain Hall, Barlow, Robinson, Zerrett and Wells. Essentially only room for one proper upgrade (barring injury), unless I sideways Barlow come seasons end.

    TU: Option 1
    TD: Option 2

    1

    14
    1. Just found a third option, which I’m liking:

JJ > DBJ, Papley > Ward (via DPP)

This will allow me to keep my FWD/DEF swing, as well as still having $197k in the bank.

      TU: Good idea
TD: Dumb, go with one of the previous options of Doch or Zerrett

      8

      3
  15. Hey guys,

Got cash in the bank, went lonergan to byrne-jones which leaves me with an intriguing choice

    T/U – Ollie Wines to C Ward
T/D – Papley to L Franklin in fwd line

    Cheers and enjoy the footy.

    1

    22
    1. Bob – Definitely the thumbs down option for me, but does your Papley trade have to be Buddy?

Be great if you have the funds to get someone like Dalhaus, Zorko, Z Merrett, Dusty etc instead

      3

      0
      1. Another option I have is to sub Adams into the fwd line, leaving me with him, AMT and brown stuck in the fwd line, but would allow me to get kade Simpson

        0

        2
  16. G’day all

Now that Davis (BE = 17) and Brad Crouch (BE = 25) are out, and Papley (BE = 62) is named, I am contemplating either:

    TU – Davis to DBJ
    TD – Papley to DBJ

Comment – Get rid of both of these guys (or Brad Crouch) to also get in C Bryne?

I have 28 trades left, and none of these options affect my on field team this week (although keeping Davis does allow me to loophole Mills and Parish).

    Thanks!!

  17. Going JJ to DBJ. Want to get a 2nd defensive rookie in whilst we have Ruggles, Wagner & C. Byrne. Already got 200K in the bank, but a stack lad of cash will allow 2 prem’s to come over following weeks.

Thumbs UP: Wagner named in Centres for Melbourne

Thumbs DOWN: C. Byrne named in the back line for Carlton

Comment for Ruggles who is named on the 4 man I/C for Geelong.

    1

    7
    1. Looking at moving out a poor performing or non playing midfielder to get defensive rookie in.

Thumbs UP: Get rid of Davis of GC as he has been ‘rested’ & scoring not great

Thumbs DOWN: Get rid of B.Crouch who i hope will be back next week as a POD

Comment on getting rid of Petrecca if not named (would then get him back in on his 3rd game as a downgrade of McCarthy, Paply, Mendadue, B.Kennedy etc.

My defensive rookies are all going well, with the 3 essendon rookies (Dea, Double barrel lad & M.Brown), Adams & Weitering all worth keeping for now.

      4

      5
      1. Don’t get rid of Petracca if you already have him, will play next week if not this week – would be a waste of two trades

        3

        0
  18. Papley being named on the field again is a surprise. Suddenly I’m willing to hold him longer and let his bad score leave his cycle and let him make some more cash.

I do want to bring in DBJ, so now leaning towards downgrading Trent McKenzie. At the moment his is D7 so won’t affect my score.

    3

    1
    1. Ditto on Papley. Swans must see him in their best 18 / 22 & he has shown he can ton up (twice). One more good game in his system & we have another 100K which justifies keeping him for another 3-4 weeks.
Trent McKenzie is already cheap as chips. When he got his nose affected bad score i thought that he could be a decent F7 long term emerg loophole option if / when he gets down to 200K. The lad can pull out a great score every 2-3 weeks. TMcK worth keeping for mine if you have him as he is already under priced, is in their best 18 / 22 & can go big. He’ll still go up 100K if you keep him as cover until the byes.

      1

      0
      1. Hmm. Would you keep him over Lonergan and Tom Sheridan? I am thinking Sheridan almost has to do better, as the Dockers almost have to improve. I am not looking to get rid of but do think I need to get in the good rookies as the show up, when possible.

        0

        0
        1. Tough one. Similar to you i have Tom Sheridan. I 100% agree that Freo will improve & Tom who was playing with a slight knock or hammy strain after Rnd 2 will come good. I am certainly holding Tommy Sheridan. I liked the look of Lonergan in pre-season but luckily kept away. All three mid pricers probably worth keeping. Can you move on an under performing or not playing forward or mid (via M/F DPP) and then Adams, M.Brown or any other D/F DPP’s move to forwards to enable you to bring in a defensive rookier who seem the best current options?

  22. Things I’ve learnt today:
    * That Jarryd Grant is at the Gold Coast. I had no idea. How did i not know. Where was the PR campaign to spruik this brilliant addition to the Gold Coast list.

In related news, i feel a lot more comfortable with North’s chances on the Gold Coast with the additions of Dan Currie and Jarryd Grant.

    1. Unless I didn’t know any better it almost seems like some sort of kamikaze premeditated move by Rocket to rest Nicholls and play Currie against his old team.

  23. Is it worth trading out Martin and bringing in Hall to have $150K in the bank next week to upgrade Z.Smith to a premo?

T/U: Good Idea, get it done
T/D: Dont be silly, Martin will come good

    thanks

  1. Can we not have multiple posts which repeat the same info this time guys? It makes things pretty messy and redundant.

  8. this is what my oompa loompas are looking like this this week, not my most confident week to date i must admit….

backs: goddard, gibbs, heppell, duigan, otten, broughton, stanley

with: grimes, coad, buckley missing out.

Mids: deledio, swan, watson, curnow, libba, swallow

with: harris, goodes, prestia missing out

    rucks: sandi, smith

    with cox, petrie missing out

fwds: buddy, higgins, pav, roo, stevie j, mckernan

with: darling, tapscott, richardson missing out

playing a lot of rookies so dont expect much from scores.. but im ranked 1005th at the moment, with a 2363 last week, 21 trades to come, $85k in bank to get rid of coad soon or grab fyfe/yarran

goddard for the loophole,, less than 140 and swannie comes in. same as everyones thinking… untill godd gets 135 and people panic and cant decide…

6 blokes on the pine i wouldnt mind playing, bad for the one week, but feels good that ill be subbing them all back in next week. haha.

helps that i have a few mpp to switch around at end of the week and make each line its strongest before looking at trades… dont forget that before you tell me how weak my mids and backs are atm. 😛
