  1. This week it is the following –
Out – Oliver, Wilson and Sweet
In – Neale, Xerri and a rookie (probably Dawson)
Will leave me about $50k ITB.
Thought about Gulden, Warner and LDU but decided to pay up for a proven performer in Neale.
I am a Xerri fan and think he is underrated. He has a few extra avenues to score such as tackles and clearances. Plays a heavily contested style as well.

    1. I am looking at Xerri too Shaggi. I have Sweet so the trade needs to be this week, which means it is basically him or Grundy (who I already traded out for Sweet). Xerri has the Eagles this week too which is a bonus, then Pies (no Cox).

    1. I know they’ve both had their bye Maka, but it looks as if CD have decided to heavily punish the disposal of accumulators. Is there someone who plays more of a burst mid style that fits better for your team? It looks to be a last month kind of change and players like laird Serong green seem to be copping the brunt of it.

    1. If you have the other top 5 fwds Slats then you might hold. Waterman and Mackay are 6/7 and only 7pt average up the road. I guess my point is that if your Fwd line is full then grab the cash. The point drop over the next 3 weeks probably makes it a sure thing!

  2. My defence is looking nearly complete but I have neither of Sheezel or Ryan…

T/U: Trade Sheezel in now and save the extra cash for a mid upgrade
T/D: Wait a week and trade in Ryan

    10

    41
  3. Forgotten how long SC takes the load during the byes.

Thinking Sheezel can come back in. Last game was full time MID and gonna play a Reid-less West Coast. Might even VC.

Not sure what else I’ll do. Need to see prices.

  4. Not the right thread but anyway.
Why does it take SuperCoach so long to finalise results for the end of the round.
I’m old and not computer savvy, so can someone answer this question. With computing power nowadays surely it a very simple maths equation. But still seem to take up to 3 hrs after the last game to get the next weeks rd up and running

    7

    2
    1. The more people playing, the more times that very simple maths equation would have to be run. I would say that, yes, even though the points scored going up and down is very simple, when you have 30+ players on 180,000 teams in up to 20 leagues, there’s loads of those equations to compute. I would also argue that to save some of those $$$, Supercoach may not use the best computers humanity has to offer.

      7

      2
  5. Got some forward trouble.

Fyfe and Jackson out with the bye, Darcy most likely suspended for a couple of weeks at least, Wilson’s BE is down and Nyuon is stuck on the bench

Who should I prioritise with who to trade out?

    1

    8
    1. Anybody got any ideas?? I can’t evaluate any advice based off thumbs up/down reactions XD No context in that

      2

      9
    2. Wabbits…Fyfe has low BE so keep..Jackson has High BE but is a good player who is affected by Darcy in 1st ruck.. your call..Sam Darcy suspended rounds 13 and 14 and 15 Bye..good type but must go…Wilson Concussed! and R15 Bye…..Hind ESS BE 10 is Hot now but what is his role?……Freijah Dogs looks good as does Dog Sanders but will Coach Bevo stuff them Around?..Sexton is still Value and 34 BE…Trades are precious now so tread carefully…how is your Supercoah bank?

  6. Tu: Graham, Reid, Richards to Fisher, Moore, Aleer. 6k inb, 22 on field this week

Td: Clohesy, Reid, Richards to Fisher, Gulden, W Dawson, 60k inb, 21 on field this week (with 1 midfield loop)

    2

    22
  7. Clohesy

T/U: hold for a week and trade Richards/Garcia this week
    T/D: trade

Either way will have 22 playing this week

    11

    13
  8. Hello everyone!!!!!

    Trades this week R13>
    OUT –
    Bonner, Sharp, Sweet
    IN –
    Zorko, Reville, Dawson(NTH)
Will leave me 530k in bank and 22 playing/9 trades remain

Next week for R14>Plan at this stage
    OUT –
    Comben, Graham, Garcia(STK)
    IN –
Ryan, Treloar, Rook – Probably Paine(Nth) M/F DDP or Wiltshire(Geel)
Leaving hopefully 50k ITB and 22 playing /6 trades remain

Final piece of the puzzle is R15?
Will have Sullivan, McAuliffe, Frijah, Reville, Dawson! Need to trade 3 to get 2 premo forwards and 1 dead rook to finish my team. Will field 22 in R15 as well.

This years planning has been insane.

  9. Put a post up earlier about Tom Stewart, questioning weather to trade now or at his bye..
    Just for further clarification, regardless of when;

    Tu: Trade
    Td: Hold

    9

    26
  10. Playing for overall..

    TU:
    Stewart > W. Dawson
    Wilson > D. Moore
    Fyfe > Neale

    TD:
    H. Garcia > Dawson
    Wilson > D. Moore

    5

    24
    1. Trading out Stewart and bringing in Moore doesn’t make sense – understand they’re different positions and FWDs are dire, but TD for sure on this one.

      8

      0
  11. Lost again on the weekend just (opponent had Bont as C), sitting 9th in 20 team league.

    Do I go:

    Sweet, Wilson > Dawson, Neale

Side would look like this with 11 trades left:

DEF: Daicos, Ryan, McGovern, Sheezel, Martin, Stewart (Clohesy, Reid)

MID: Bontempelli, Neale, Serong, Merrett, Butters, Rowell, Steele, Green (Sullivan, Freijah, H.Garcia)

    RUCK: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)

FWD: Heeney, Flanders, Jackson, Sexton, Garcia, Reville (Dawson, Richards)

Or do I look at trying to bring in two mid prices (one forward, one mid)?

    2

    4
  12. Considering if I want to trade out Houston. Only 1 tonne in his last 5 games being Hawthorn 148.
Has a BE of 152 so will lose more cash after the bye. Tough run home too.

If I did I could bring in LDU, Neale and Wil Dawson.
Sweet and Darcy go out and I still have 195k itb.

    1

    25
    1. Houston is a top 6-8 defender. Still putting out respectable scores and has one of the highest ceilings as he has shown us in the past. I would be targeting him if I was a non owner post bye for sure!

      13

      0
      1. He has really dropped off and has a 5 Rd average of 101 with that 148 where he needed to kick 3 goals.
I don’t see him performing with the run home he has compared to someone like Holmes/Newman

Trading him allows an extra premium this week

        7

        14
        1. Even without the 3 goals it would’ve been a 110+ score. He has the bonus upside that he does kick a few goals for a defender. Averaged 106/107 from memory last season and just with natural progression I expect that to be a couple of points better come the end of this season. Would definitely hold.

          4

          1
  13. TU Massimo + Fyfe > Sheezel + Neale/LDU
TD Fyfe + Comben > Sheezel + Gulden
Comment Sweet + Clohesy > Sheezel + Powell

    9

    1
  14. Why do people seem against trading out T Stewart?

The data is there, he is getting attention almost every week and seems far off the pace from anywhere near the top 6-10 defenders.

I am playing for overall and considering he has the bye next week I am considering going on him.

Anyone else with me on this one surely ?!

    19

    11
    1. It seems to be the new thing in 2024 that every team puts works into Stewart so you may be right and he may struggle to be a top 6-8 defender this year. So if it really suits your team to go with another option and you have the trades then go for it.

My guess is people are suggesting to hold thinking there are other priorities. I don’t have Stewart but right now for example my focus is completing my fwd line so if I had Stewart I would probably hold until my other need is met. I had the same mindset when many people wanted to trade out Sheezel- I held instead and was prepared to risk losing some cash as I always had other priorities. Thankfully he’s come good

      5

      0
      1. This week I can manage to upgrade as well as getting Stewart to neale who is fresh off the bye. Will also help me out massively next week.

Feels like a no brainer tbh

        4

        1
  15. Zorko.

TU: He’s had his bye, just bring him in.
TD: Wait a couple weeks, that 66 could bring his price down a bit.

    19

    7
    1. Breakeven is 125, so he should be close, and will likely lose about 10k next round. If you wait for two weeks for his 161 to leave his 3-round average, he’ll probably drop another 35k.

      2

      0
  16. Not trading him but gee Noah Anderson is hard to own. its 150 one week then 50 the next week. Talk about a rollercoaster.

    10

    0
  17. Wilson and Closehy to Heeney and W.Dawson is locked.

Worth doing Sweet to Mcneil for the extra cash with Soldo not getting suspended?

    6

    0
  18. Sweet > McNeil, this results in$277.5K ITB.

Not sure whether the following is necessary:

    Darcy > Fisher

Do we think Fisher is a Top 6 FWD by end of year?

    15

    3
  19. Need a cash grab to afford a premo
TU- Clohesy > L.McNeil (via DPP)
    TD- H.Garcia > Geordie Payne
    Thanks

    8

    1
  20. Who to trade first (Can field 6 forwards this week either way)

Fyfe (has the bye but have cover. low BE and higher ceiling)
    Wilson (High BE)

    0

    25
  21. Regardless of byes etc. I’m trading in my last midfield option
    TU- Rowell
    TD- Neale

    Rowell being 65k cheaper.

    Midfield currently reads :
Bontempelli, Butters, Serong, Merrett, Dawson, Steele, Green, Wilson

    14

    17
    1. Shocking this is close.

Love Moore as a FWD option but Gulden post-bye smokes him.

      6

      3
  22. Hopefully this works for me this week. Windsor and Wilson out Heeney and Ridley in . My trade in lately have not been to successful so if you have Heeney or Ridley you might consider trading them out

    7

    2
  23. Any love for Nick Hind? 387k Def/Fwd

Has he been playing off half back?

Or just a matter of time before he becomes sub/omitted again?!

    2

    20
    1. Hind could be a nicely priced POD with DPP … but at significant risk.

I actually think his JS is now solid as he has a role (on Wing) but just not convinced his current level of scoring is sustainable.

      2

      0
  24. I know many will say don’t trade out a premium but Clayton Oliver has been less than impressive in recent weeks. His consistency is a killer. Scores of 68, 82, 141, 87, 124, 92 and 73 are probably not good enough for a premium. I’d appreciate some thoughts on this, please.

T/U – keep him its a waste of a trade
    T/D – trade him now!

    11

    23
    1. I know, I’m swallowing my pride and swapping him for Bont this week. But it depends on where you’re at. After this week I’ll have 11 trades and only 1 more upgrade to a complete team so I reckon I can do it. Should have 9 trades left for DPP players/injury coverage with a complete team

      5

      0
  25. Need to improve my side as sick of losing and going backwards in rankings.
    2 options this week :

    TU for 2 trades:
    OUT – Sweet & Wilson
    IN – Warner/Neale and Fisher
    OR
    TD for 3 trades:
    OUT – Sweet, Wilson & H Garcia
    IN – Warner, Heeney/Zorko and W Dawson

    6

    19
    1. Think you could wait a week on Dawson and see how he goes. That depends on your bye structure though.

      1

      0
  26. Darcy, Graham and Wilson for Fisher, W Dawson and Ridley.

Could also get Moore in instead of Fisher.

    6

    0
    1. If he had FWD status, I’d already be on but as MID only noty.

He’d have to absolutely bake every week to be competitive as a MID.

      3

      1
  27. Rory Laird a genuine option now that crouch is out for the remainder of the year?

Had a reduction in CBAs but surely now that crouch is out he becomes in their main mix now?

Juicy matchup this week against the tigers too.

Tu: Laird a genuine option now
    Td: Look elsewhere

    12

    12
  28. What should be more of a priority this week

    TU Clohesy > Salem

TD Wilson > Heeney (may have to purchase non playing rookies to get him)

    0

    24
  29. D: Ryan, Daicos, Sheezel, Comben, Sexton, Clohesy (Howes, Reid)
M: Bont, Butters, Serong, Dunkley, Merett, Miller, Green, Sullivan (Clark, Rogers, Garcia)
    R: Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
F: Heeney, Zorko, Flanders, Jackson, Wilson, Darcy (Freijah, Livingstone)
    ITB: 321.7k

    Currently thinking
    OUT: Howes, Darcy, Sweet
    IN: Walsh, Moore, Dawson
ITB: 119.5k and 3 defenders to upgrade – likely targets of Houston, Yeo and Martin/NWM/Holmes

Thoughts? Have I missed something else that I should be looking at?

    5

    0
  30. This week:
    Wilson > Dawson
    Fyfe > Laird

    Next week:
    Stewart > Jordan Clark

Will have 12 trades to finalise my last 2 upgrades coming out of the byes.

    Tu or Td

    4

    5
  31. Who to trade:

TU: Darcy Wilson (maxed out and makes my last 2 upgrades over the next fortnight easier)
TD: Hugo Garcia (Ross doesn’t seem to want to play a guy who just tackles and pressures)

    0

    8
    1. They’re 200k apart so it’s not really a 1:1 comparison. Need to consider who you can get in for each.

      1

      1
      1. Would mainly be banking the cash to help with upgrades over the next two weeks if it’s Wilson

        2

        0
        1. Yep, in that case, Wilson. He’s going to start losing money whereas Garcia can only stand pat or make money (if he plays).

          2

          0
        1. My stuffup. Heeney should go pretty good against what is a pretty week Geelong midfield though.

          0

          0
  32. I’m jumping on Steven May as a D7, maybe wait until after his bye next week. Aside from 2 stinkers (one when he was injured) he’s been really good and can score big.

    Tu: good take
    Td: you’re dreaming

    5

    13
    1. Yeah, I’ve got him but his got his bye next week. I’d probs target post-bye and finish team before thinking D7.

      3

      1
  33. Any love for Salem for those people like me struggling to make $$$? Getting more midfield time the past three games. I feel like her will average 90+ and then sideways upgrade for not much money.

    7

    5
  34. Any insight into Rory laird now that crouch is out for the remainder of the year?

His TOG seems low. Only at 72.76 % (average this season. Any crows fans with some info surrounding this?

    2

    1
    1. No no no, don’t do it. They are prioritising young players through the mids, not just because of Crouch. He had low TOG when Crouch was out at start of the the year.

      3

      0
  35. Is it worth trading Marshall to English ?
Gain 30k & Marshall has a be of over 190, just can’t deal with how inconsistent he is & struggles to dominate when he should
    TU- good idea
TD – not worth the trade

    8

    20
    1. I have Marshall at R2 as well. Hold off trading this week. Last 2 he was up against Gawn who is a beast around the ground and is 10cm taller and wc where for the first time this year had two rucks to double team. This week he is up against GC with moyle as ruck (witts wont play) so should dominate. If he doesnt you can look at english or even grundy who has no upcoming bye. Rookies and midpricers off field bigger priority imo.

      2

      0
  36. For the last D6 spot:

    TU – Jordan Ridley
    TD – Bailey Dale

I like the look of rids better but dale suits me better with the byes

    23

    22
  37. Trade in D.Moore-W.Dawson for Wilson-Garcia TU

Trade in Fisher-Dawson for Wilson-Garcia TD

    8

    9
  38. Hi everyone – advice please!!
Mainly playing for league so not concerned with byes but trying to work out what BEST 2 mids (maybe 3 possible Oliver replacement) that I should be targeting next?? – have even looked ahead to possible matchups for finals Rds 21-24 but still not sure.
Current Mids are Bont, Green, Butters , Dawson, Miller and Oliver

There’s a lot of value out there but just wanting an idea on the best 3 I don’t already have – thanks in advance

  39. Looking to do my final forward upgrade. Who for F6 with limited money and talent available. Also with round 14 bye in mind.
    TU Toby Greene
    TD Jesse Hogan

    5

    11
  40. Was going to upgrade Wilson to Fisher this week, but realised I have enough to go Stewart to Ryan next week, post his bye.

    TU: Fisher
    TD: Ryan

    3

    21
  41. Hi community

Looking at moving on Tom Stewart next week at his bye to someone who has come off their bye

Do I pay up for someone like Jordan Clark??
Have the funds to do so but is it worth doing so

    Already have Ryan & Houston.

    Tu: Jordan Clark (580k)
    Td: Young/Whitfield/Blakey ect
    (All around the 500k mark)

    Thoughts appreciated!

    7

    11
  42. Looking for a forward
    TU Harry McKay
    TD Fisher
Comment for anyone else outside of Heeney, Zorko, Flanders and Jackson

    7

    21
  43. Sweet, Darcy, Clohesy out
    Green, Whitfield, Darwin in

    TU: YES
TD: NO, Gulden instead of Green

    8

    4
  44. Garcia & Sweet out, Fisher and W Dawson/McNeil in ($80k ITB)

    TU: Yes
TD: Use another trade and get Zorko

    1

    10
  45. Sweet replacement.
TU: Grundy (had bye but maybe not as high an average as)
    TD: English (R15 bye)

I’m fine for 18 in R15 but am playing someone I am desperate to beat that week…… league only, but am 1200 overall.

    5

    11
  46. Quick one:

What’s the more important one to bring in this week only, regardless of Byes.

    TU: Ridley DEF
    TD: Warner MID

    3

    15
  47. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Max Holmes? Is he the real deal and will he keep his mid/Def mix with Danger returning? I like him over N Martin and Stewart. Stewart not the same this year and N.Martin looks like he is struggling with Ridley back? I am scared of bringing Ridley in as he is a massive injury risk. He also hasn’t averaged above 100 since 2020 which was 101.9.

    Is holmes worth trading in?

    T/U bring him in
    T/D leave him out

    23

    4
    1. Brought him in last week and kept an eye on him during the Richmond game. He wins heaps of contested possessions and takes the extra few seconds to dispose of the ball efficiently. Both big SC ticks

The only pitfall is danger coming back I guess, but hopefully still gets some CBA

      6

      0
  48. Couple of questions:

TU: Wilson & Reid for Neale & W Dawson
TD: Wilson, Reid & H Garcia for Fisher, W Dawson & one of Gulden or Blakey

    4

    6
    1. If TU do I trade Clarry to a more premo mid like LDU or Warner?

      TU: Trade Clarry
TD: Save sideways trades for once the team is finished

      8

      16
  49. Do I trade

    Wilson,Joe Richards and Stewart

    Fisher,Dawson and Riddley

Thumbs down without stewart – Riddley

    7

    12
  50. Before this round starts, I have 15 trades left.

TU: No trades this week = 21 on field of which 14 are keepers, with $408K ITB
TD: 3 trades this week = 21 on field of which 16 are keepers (gain 2 premos) with $900 ITB

    1

    15
  51. Have enough $ to upgrade Wilson and Garcia to lower premos Gulden and LDU. Otherwise I can do Wilson to Neale/Dunkley but Garcia stays.

TU: 2 upgrades Gulden and LDU
    TD: 1 upgrade Neale/Dunkley

    20

    1
  52. I held McKercher in the hope that he would be available after his bye, but still no timeline for return!

Should I trade him to Ridley?

    22

    0
  53. My Clarry experiment isn’t living up to expectations… Should I trade him to Lachie Neale?

    16

    4
  54. Worth it to do

    Wilson,Richards

    fish,dawson and 250k or add

    thumbs down to add
    garcia – morre

    1

    4
  55. Two options this week …

T/U: Out – Clohesy, Rogers and Garcia – In: Zorko, Blight and Dowling

T/D: Out: Clohesy and Garcia – In: Ridley and Blight.

2 left before full premo – cheers.

    3

    6
  56. Slightly weird ruck set up for me with Xerri, Jackson and Moyle. Do I:

TU: Bring in an English/Grundy this week
TD: Bring Gawn in after his bye

Comment: which to bring in if TU

    9

    12
    1. TU: English (scoring better and properly bottomed out on price but has a bye)
TD: Grundy (seems like a top 4 ruck at worst and has already had his bye)

      12

      6
  57. Any West Coast supporters or others have any comments re Harry Edwards JS and role moving forward. Seems to score well but been in system for while

    2

    0
    1. Harry Edwards was the replacement for ill teammate Josh Rotham. He played well but whether he retains his place is questionable if Rotham is available.

      Watch team sheets.

      3

      0
  58. Looking at bringing in just one premo this week.
    TU: Heeney
    TD: Warner
Leaning towards Warner as he’s projected to increase in price and it finishes off my midfield, whereas Heeney due to drop a bit of cash so I can look at him in another week of two?

    10

    8
    1. If you are looking to bring in a premo keeper, price movements dont matter…who do you think will provide most pts ???

      7

      2
  59. Thinking of a cash grab
T/U- H.Garcia (unlikely to play soon) to Hutchinson (playing)
T/D- Save the trade (12 left & he might only play 1-2 games) Is he just in for Waterman/Reid? Thx

    3

    4
  60. Out: Windsor, Garcia, Darcy and Reid

TU: Neale, Heeney, Dawson and (Aleer – Sub 200K Fwd/Def) with 150K ITB
TD: Whitfield, Laird, Fisher/Moore and Dawson with 60K ITB

    Thoughts? Cheers.

    6

    4
  61. Sideways Dawson out to Neale/Dunkley/Warner given weak in Round 15? It would be now or never based on BE and high current value.

Will come out of the byes full premo and 5 trades including the sideways.

    3

    2
  62. Only the single trade last week (Sweet to Harrison via (DPP))
DEF: Daicos, Ryan, Houston, Sheezel, NWM, Sexton (Clohesy Z.Reid)
MID: Bont, Zorko, Flanders, LDU, Walsh, Steele, Green, Sullivan (C.Serong, Butters, Rogers)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)

    $193,700 ITB, 17 trades left, 2 boosts.
Don’t mind the jumbled fwd (Zorks & Flanders will move back there across the byes). Thinking of doing Clohesy, Wilson & Garcia to W.Dawson, Fisher & Dylan Moore, $26,700 ITB

  63. 1 Defender to trade in, who would be your best option choosing between Holmes and Ridley.

  65. Should I trade Oliver to Neale?

If I do it will pretty much wipe out my bank, and my fear is that I still have 1 Def + 2 Fwd spots left to upgrade so having the extra cash in the coming weeks will be handy.

But I can’t see Oliver averaging 100+ on the run home, where as Neale will go 115+.. So it worth it?

  66. T/U – Laird
    T/D – Dawson

No Crouch in side now so both should score nicely rest of season!

  67. I’m considering Clohesy, Garcia and Wilson to LDU, Zorko and Dawson.

This leaves me with only 2 DEF away from full premo. That being said, I’ll have Oliver, Fisher and LJ (currently M8, F5 and F6) who I’ll want to become M9, D7 and F7. With 13 trades left AFTER this round, $78k itb and Sexton to cash in on next week (1 up, 1 down, are my trades worth it?
    TU or TD?

  68. At risk of running out of cash to finish my team.

TU: wait a week for Zorko to go down 30-40k (Clohesy has a good match up so hopefully won’t lose cash)

TD: Get Zorko this week and just get the best sub 400k F6 & D6 options in the next few weeks

Def: Ryan, Daicos, Sheezel, Houston, Whitfield, Clohesy

    Fwd: Heeney, Flanders, Moore, Fisher
