    1. At this early stage my trades will be

      Out – Steele/Ashcroft, Ratagulea, Ford
      In – Mitchell, Keays Yeo.

Yep I am rolling the dice

Depends on how long it takes me to calm down to decide whether Steele gets traded or not.

I should have 19 or 20 for next week depending on Sicily’s appeal goes. Fingers crossed his appeal is successful.

Does not the AFL realise that every single tackle has the potential to cause serious injury.
Soon our great game will be nothing more than men’s netball.

  2. What to do with Briggs?

Currently own him at R3 with English & Marshall as the other 2 rucks. Can go Briggs to Oliver in one trade this week however finding it difficult to trade him considering he still has a heap of cash to generate, feel like there is much better value chopping English or Marshall considering Briggs is matching them at the moment..

    1. Three trades this week.

Hopefully bringing in Oliver and Cameron for Briggs, Ashcroft and a TBD downgrade

    2. I know! How dirty does it feel, Mick!?

He’s ripping 130s, making a boatload of cash and is honestly a sensational player – feels so weird and counterproductive to trade him.

But, yeah, RoMo and Tingles have to stay. Tingles is just R1 and RoMo is widely owned and post-bye. If RoMo and Briggs had their byes switched it’d be an easy call.

Given Bont smashed his BE I’ll be combining Briggs and Humph (instead of Cincotta) into him by the looks of it. Think, yeah, just use his cash to finish an FP side – as dirty as it feels to cull someone with his scoring and form. Not much else that can be done.

      1. What about if you have Witts (he was my Darcy replacement to help with bye cover). Should we still be trading out briggs in this instance?

    3. Hey Mick, I’m pretty high on Briggs and his level atm…. imo if his points are going to continue like this(and it looks as if it will) then I would turn Marshall into some points needed elsewhere and cash! Good luck 🙂

Ford > Forward premo who’s playing

  4. Now prices updated

    Ashcroft > Cameron
    Briggs > Maric
    Wardlaw > Clarry

6 trades left and 15 k in the bank.

Doesn’t feel great cashing out on players with $$$ to make but it’s probably better for my side

  5. Surprised to see people trading Briggs, but I guess it depends on aims for the season and overall/league position.
Personally I’m playing for league only and sitting top so can cop a loss this week.
Then riding Briggs til he tops out and straight swapping for a premo on my most needed line. Good luck all.

    7

    2
    1. And probably looking at a loss this week, given my quality/non-existent bye planning has all 8 playing in my backing (teams reliant obviously) and 1 in my fwds. (Pre trades)

    2. Getting him to Oliver it’s a no brainer, no point him staying in R3 while I play a rookie on field.

  6. Ok my original trade thoughts before lockout ended was Cincotta and Ford > defender rookie and a forward premo.

    * Indicated upcoming bye
DEF – Stewart, Daicos, Dawson, Lloyd, Ryan, Weddle (Cincotta*, Constable)
MID – Petracca, Laird, Merrett, Serong, Walsh*, Wardlaw*, Johnson, Sheldrick (Macrae*, Green*, Drury*)
    RUC – English*, Marshall (Madden)
FWD – Dunkley, Coniglio*, Sheezel*, Mitchell, Ford*, Buller (Taranto*, Roberts)

    $352,700k/8 trades remaining

I have no clue what to do here, I honestly don’t. I’m already stuck with 6 players on field who won’t be playing, plus Johnson and Buller highly likely will be dropped.
I was gonna upgrade Ford, but almost every decent forward premo in the comp is out with the bye. The best available is Gulden, and I don’t really wanna touch that rollercoaster of a trash heap. And I don’t know if I should downgrade Cincotta when I’ve already got 6 defenders playing this round.

So I;m seriously asking for some advice on what to do here, and I REALLY NEED the advice. Because when this happens, my brain goes into overload for the entire week and my brain fries up. The last three weeks I’ve asked for help, and I’ve been left with barely anything and I end up making trades where at least one have turned very mediocre and useless.

I’m not wanting a solution on how to get 18 playing on field, because we all that’s not gonna happen.

I just want something that’s logical enough and none of that side trading premo/near-premo to another one. At this point for the rest of the year, I’m wanting to use 4 of the 8 trades to downgrade and the other 4 trades to upgrade, so I can have a “full-premo” side whenever it is I use the last trade.

So what is the best trade options for me at this point?

And please, again, I would like something decent. I know my calls for help are at times hard to figure out how to help, I understand that. Some people have been a very broken record with letting know that, trust me, I bloody get it no need to repeat how difficult I can be. But I’m just asking for help, there’s nothing wrong with someone asking for help, that’s what this thread is for.

    1. Hey WW , maybe something like Ford to Jackson or Dcam. I always like to have ruck forwards from here on.
I was going to post a query to the crew about Dev Robertson and how we view his js. If he keeps his job and form then he’s looking good to me.

      5

      1. Cameron may be a good option. I would’ve highly considered Jackson, but with the high likelihood of Darcy coming back in the week, I think that’s going to effect his numbers too much

        1. Hey WW , I’m pretty sure that the Barbarian had lifted his scoring to tons and near tons with Darcy in the team – it was a big part of why I traded Darcy as his scoring was taking a big hit 🙂

  7. TU: Johnson> Oliver
    TD: Cincotta> yeo

I know the first option seems obvious, but the Oliver trades leave me with 4 trades left and still one upgrade to go, also pushing keays to the bench/loophole with steele.

Yeo trade leaves me 240k itb and keays at m8, and more flexibile to bring in somebody like mills in a couple weeks and possibly himmelberg to loop with yeo as well.

  10. If Sicily gets off or 1 week

Cincotta, Briggs, Ford > Rookie Defender playing (Mullin / Uwland) D Cam, Laird

    If sicily gets 2

Sicily, Briggs, Ford > Keays, D Cam, Oliver

Either option leaves me with 3 trades but close to FP side(weakest links are Sheeze and Day) and Humphrey and Fyfe as M9 / F7 cover

  15. Would appreciate some wisdom.

Stewart, Daicos, Dawson, Ridley, Sheezel, Melican (Cincotta, Cowan)

Bont, Laird, Butters, Serong, Green, Walsh, T. Thomas, Atkins (Davey, Sharp, Constable)

    English, Marshall (McAndrew)

Dunkley, Taranto, Macrae, Rozee, Gulden, Cogs (Ford, Roberts)

Not playing for overall position and not worried about this bye round. Just want a side to play finals with and maybe take one of the leagues out.

I know bench cover is dodgy AF – have been more focussed on getting premos on field.

Wanted Sicily but yeah! Have considered getting Sinclair or Houston to finish Def (keeping Sheezel)

Have considered Neale and would love Clarry back, but would have to trade Sheezel to afford that.

Have considered Darcy up Fwd for DPP and move one of my premos into the midfield.

Can somebody tell me what the best tactical move would be? 8 trades left, so guessing I’ll be able to get 2 more premos from here with 3 spots open (would like Sheezel @ D6).

Open to Devon Robertson & Keays.
Maric & Harrison likely rookies with a premo

    Which way do I go?

  17. 10 Trades Left

    TU: M. Gawn + B. Humphrey + M. Johnson > R. Laird + D. Cameron + O. Mullin
Not optimal for this week but it means I’ll have a full-premium team.

    TD: M. Gawn + E. Ford > D. Cameron + I. Maric
This option will let me squeeze a bit more from Humphrey and Johnson and upgrade next week instead.

  18. Tu: Briggs & Ford > Oliver & Himmilberg
(3 trades required, leaves me full premo & 3 trades remaining for injury)

Td: Marshall & Ford > Oliver & Himmilberg

  19. thinking about doing some large trades this week.

Fyfe, Johnson, Ford, cincotta > Yeo, Oliver, Maric, Fletcher

  20. Hi all.

As we’re approaching the end of the byes and everyone is nearing full premo, I’d just thought I’d ask a few questions.

Is it more important in the long run to have the top line premos, or have adequate bench cover for them inevitable injuries? This week, I am tossing up whether I bring Oliver (and lose decent bench cover in Weddel) or someone cheaper like Tom Mitchell and maintain that decent bench cover rather than having dead rookies who won’t play again. I understand the loss of points from going Mitchell over Oliver, but the worst case scenario would be running out of trades several rounds out and having to field donuts or poor scoring rookies over multiple rounds. I’ll only have 3-4 trades after going full premo, but plan on having Humphrey and Weddel on my bench so that I don’t have to necessarily trade for only minor 1 week injuries.

Just wanted peoples thoughts on the different strategies going forward.

    Appreciate any thoughts.

    1. Hi, Kram.

      It’s very team specific.

So with 3-4 injury trades, yeah, I’d be going total points over bench cover. Keeping Humphrey you should do but Weddle making way for Satan isn’t a problem. Definitely something to be cognizant of though and does depend on the injury profile of your side.

  21. Alright so, plot twist, it looks like a will keep Briggs and do my moves another way.

    This week:

Ford -> Fletcher, 18 playing, crucially bring Drury to F8 loop

    Next week:

RoMo -> Bont (via Madden & Humph DPP)

Now that brings Briggs to R2, allows me to keep Humphrey at F7 and loop him with Owens via Drury and I end up with cover in Young, Cinc, Fletcher and Humph. Surprisingly good cover considering I’d had a dead bench for over a month.

Plan was always to merge Humph and Briggs for Bont but now I want to keep Humph and realized Briggs is more than serviceable OF. RoMo’s cash means I can move across to Bont guaranteed.

Plan courtesy of Abs, I could have never come up with this myself lol!

    1. Interesting ploy GD.

I could do a similar play. Do you think you’d prefer English & RoMo (no cash left over to upgrade W Day at M8) or English & Briggs ($150k ITB to upgrade W Day at M8)?

In both cases I’d be left with 4 trades for the rest of the season.

  22. I was originally planning to trade Sheezel and Ford this week but Sheezel’s move back to defence has me reconsidering.

    So this week looking at:

Weddle, Ford, Angwin to Laird, Sheldrick, Maric

    18 playing this week.

    The final side after trades:

B: Stewart, Daicos, Dawson, Sinclair, Houston, Angus Brayshaw (Mitchell, Constable)

M: Bont, Laird, Neale, Andy Brayshaw, Rozee, Gulden, Green, Walsh (Humphrey, Wilmot, Sharp)

    R: Marshall, Briggs (Madden)

F: Dunkley, Taranto, Cogs, D Cameron, Sheezel, Hawkins (Sheldrick, Maric)

Plenty of bench cover including DPP if required but only 3 trades left for injuries/suspensions.

    1. With Sicily confirmed out for 3 weeks, I’d be doing Sicily, Briggs & Ford to Dawson, Clarry (provided he’s back) and any rookie that gets named that you can afford, potentially E Hewett from the eagles as he should be back from injury but just need to see if he gets named

  26. Current predicament –

Cincotta and Humphrey last two rookies to upgrade to premo.
Can go Cincotta – Ryan this week by trading Ford and Wardlaw to Harrison and Fletcher/Lohman. This will leave me with the following players on the bench and not much cash gen:

Constable, Mullin, Fletcher, Humphrey, Drury, Moyle, Maric and Buller.

Want to bring Butters in for Humphrey.

Do I wait for Ford and Wardlaw to come back in and make more cash?
Or wait for the likes of Maric and Fletcher to fatten up and then trade one down to then upgrade Humphrey -> Butters?

    Thanks!

  31. Bear with me : Trying to work out what is better for the rest of the season – to trade in a non-playing D/F rookie (there aren’t any playing ones) so that if I keep Sheezel, he can swing between D/F, OR trade in a cheapo playing rookie like Harrison and keep Sheezel as D6 with no option to move fwd. Mucked up last week when I traded out Mitchell from the Hawks – should have kept him and traded out Weddle instead to keep the swing open. I don’t need this cheap D/F rookie to be playing as have adequate bench cover, its purely to keep the DPP option.
TU : Trade in a $102k non playing rookie to keep the swing option with Sheezel
TD: Your overthinking it – keep Sheezel as DEF and trade in a rookie like Harrison

    1. I personally brought Dewar in last week for the exact same reason. Rookies at this stage will be the last line of your bench and don’t really need to play so it’s good to be able to get your “premos” to be able to cover different lines. It’s allowed me to have 24 premo like objects (Sheezel, Steele and Keays as premo like) but I can cover every line with a premo rather than a rookie so would definitely recommend getting those swings in place

      2

      0
    1. Both will be effected by returning players. Mitchell’s TOG has had a bump with DeGoey out and Parkers center bounces with Mills missing.

In Mullin Maric Ryan (move Dawson into the mids) (if you can afford Harrison, better, so you can get Maric next round.

      Gives you 19.
Next week- Weddle and Mitchell into a premium and a rookie- can be any line except ruck, using DPP

  43. What is better?

TU – Trade out Sicily for Yeo (as part of 3 trades this week) which will leave me with 6 trades remaining and full premo
    OR
TD – Trade out Sicily for Ridley (as part of 4 trades this week, using my final boost) which leaves me with 5 trades remaining and full premo

    I’m counting Yeo & Sheezel as “premo’s”.

  44. Pretty crap year so far – started well but has fell apart just before the byes with a few wrong moves.

Need to get a few upgrades but cash is very limited. Possibly being a bit silly bringing Oliver in given my situation but it gives me Bont, Tracc, Laird and Oliver, but also leaves the likes of Fyfe and Steele in M7 and M8 and only 6 trades left after this. DEF and FWD are at full premo (ish – I’m counting Sheez and potentially Keays)

IN: Oliver, Keays (as a forward), Maric
    OUT: Briggs, Phillips, Mitchell (hawks)

    TU: YEP
    TD: NOPE

  45. Ranked #309 and have 12 trades left.

    TU:Sicily > Reddog
    TD: Sicily > Ryan

Sicily been a real headache and need a good POD.

    Thanks.

  46. Sorry 1 more question. Much appreciated.

    TU:

    Out: Sic, Roberts, Ford
    In: Yeo, Neale, Maric
    1 x Doughnut

    TD:
    Out: Sic, Johnson, Ford
    In: Ryan/Reddog, Neale, Maric
    2 x Doughnuts

Full premo including Grundy and Sheezel. 9 trades ITB.

  47. Can only bring in ONE this week and the other next week. I get that they’re both coming off their bye with low BE’s so I guess who will rise less this week?

    TU: R. Laird
    TD: D. Cameron

  48. Best defensive POD to finish my backline?

    Currently have:

    Dawson, Daicos, Sinclair, Stewart, Sheezel

Ryan is the safe option but unsure about his last 5 weeks.

  49. Have 8 trades and 6.7k ITB

Stewart, Dawson, Sinclair, Redman, Lloyd, Ryan (Chesser, Gilbee)

Bont, Laird, Merrett, Neale, Brayshaw, Gulden, Green, Fyfe (Sharp, Constable, Wagner)

    Romo, Gawn (Madden)

Dunkley, Taranto, Rozee, D.Cam, Sheezel, Humphrey (Ford, Harrison)

Just thinking 1 trade this week Ford –> Maric. Nets me 156k. Means I have 19/20 playing this week. Then gamble on Humphrey meeting his BE this week and more to afford Butters/Libba. Leaves Fyfe has only non-keeper.

    Thoughts?

  50. Hi team, would love some thoughts on what I should do this week. Please help a gal out

Mid: Laird, Bont, Bray, Neale, Green, Rozee, Gulden, Ashcroft (Humpa, Davey, Constable)

    Rucks: Witts Romo (Briggs)

Fwd: Dunkley, Taranto, Cogs, Darcy Cameron, Mitchell, Ford (Madden, Maric)

    1. Something I would be tempted to do if I was in your situation:

OUT: Cincotta, Ford, Briggs (Too much cash on the bench and you have Darcy Cameron as ruck cover as well)

      Swing Rozee into the Forwardline

IN: A ruck rookie worth 102k, A MID premo who has already had the bye, eg. Anderson and another rookie for Cincotta.

Should have a solid bank then to upgrade Ashcroft and Mitchell when ready and also downgrading Humphries.

Just my thoughts, good luck! 🙂

      1. Mostly agree with Dusty here Mumma

        I would go..

        Sicily to Dawson Bank $80k
Ford to Harvey Harrison. ( if named ) Bank $ 215k
Briggs to midfielder of your choice. ( swing Rozee forward )

Next week look at downgrading Cincotta and upgrading Ashcroft.
or you could upgrade Weddle and move Sheezel (via Mitchell) forward and keep Mitchell as cover down back.

        Best of luck.

    2. If you are playing for rank id get rid off Sic and bring in Dawson or Oliver if playing.

Otherwise id look to upgade rookies on bye like cincotta and ford to cheaper rookies so you have cash to upgrade likes of Ashcroft.

Also need to think of keeping briggs or not. I have English and RoMo and decided to keep them over briggs.

      Good luck!

      1. Does Ziebell need to go?

Have the trades, so was thinking straight swap for Cameron for ruck coverage.

        1. I think so. His gull role he had at the start of the year is gone and now they are going to give more opps to the kids.

Keep sheezel if you have him though. I thinn he will get the Ziebell / Hall role for rest of the year

    3. Hey Mumma,

You’re in a really good position with your cows. Pretty much just need to cash them in, do some swaps and upgrades over the next couple of rounds.

If I were you I’d think about:

      This round
Briggs -> swap in Madden and get a cheap FWD (such as Harrison) = 344.9k. This will also help your D Cameron DPP if needed.

Weddle -> straight downgrade to a cheap DEF (such as Mullins) = 237.4k. Don’t need to be too picky here as you already have cover with Cincotta.

With your 8.2 ITB you should have 590.5 to play with.

Humphrey -> bring on-field over Ashcroft and upgrade to a premium MID (such as Libba) = -208.5k

Ford -> swap with Gulden, swap Guldens MID spot with Day and upgrade to a premium DEF (such as Dawson) = -321.2k

      Next week:
Ashcroft -> straight downgrade to a cheap-ish MID. You’ll need to be a bit picky as your bench cover is a bit thin here. Back solve your price from the next trade but you should have $190k to play with.

S Mitchell -> swap with Rozee and upgrade to a premium MID (such as Cerra). Another plus with Cerra is that is isn’t playing this week so you can map out your pricing/strategy this week.

Based on above you should have 6 trades left, a completed team, plus 140 point on field average, and good spread with Sheezel in D6, Day in M8 and Cameron in F6 (with ability to swing RUC).

      Best of luck!!

The typical disclaimers: all in my own opinion, do your own research etc

      1. This is solid advice, I’d just consider a premo mid who is playing this week over Libba. Darcy Parish should be back this week but Serong, Anderson, Mitchell etc are all options too. Potentially you could just do Dawson here and then bring in Ridley or Ryan in defence to have some more cash for future moves.

Then the other thing that could be worth considering (only because you’ll have enough players this week) is to bring in a $102k def/fwd in the opposite line to Sheezel to allow you to use him as cover in both lines rather than a rookie who will likely not be in your best 18 this week

  51. Sicily – Petracca
    Briggs – Oliver
Ford – Maric (Can get Sheldrick but relying on Humphrey and Johnson to make 10k or so bit risky for next week means I could miss Butters as my last upgrade)

    6

    0
    1. there is still some doubt about Oliver playing this week. even if he does, he might not be going at 100% rat-power.

Might be worth to wait a week, especially with his high BE

    1. Sheldrick is $70k more than Harrison. thats a lot of cash.

i’ve gone Sheldrick, but am worried about his TOG last week and that will take a hit if heeney and Mills are back this week. Might be better to go Harrison who is on the bubble

  53. Cheers Derek !
    Thanx for your kind reply
and yeah, & 70k is alot of coin.
Will make decision when teams drop.
Thinking was ..Sheldrick v Eagles & have memories of Horse really liking him before he was drafted.
Harrison has far better disposal efficiency & plays in a better side. …think I may have talked myself into a call …with some wise words! 🙂

    1. Sheldrick had 55% TOG last week. and that was with Heeney and Mills out.

he kicked two goals that gave his score a boost

  54. Thinking of using my last boost!

How do these 4 trades sound?
    Outs: Sicily, Atkins, Ford, Davey
    Ins: Oliver, Yeo, Windhager, Maric

    1. Hardly improves your premos. Everyone you trade in now is likely a keeper. Sic to anyone but Oliver for sure but can you find a “one up one down” somehow elsewhere….maybe to a Keays type.

  55. Is Merrett finished as uber premo now that Parish is back?
I think CD will still award him pts for getting within 5metres of the ball and cp points for uncontested possessions but will Parish take a large chunk of the disposal points that he gets

does anyone have any idea why the site “Tooserious” is slow in updating to the previous round?

  57. Torn between two trades:

TU: Wardlaw + Sicily -> DCam + Petracca and 29.7K in the bank
TD: Ford + Sicily -> Dcam + Parish and 82.7K in the bank

After either trade I’ll have 4 trades left with Humphrey at M8

  58. Trying to finish off my team this round and really umming and ahhing through some options. My first two trades are Ford and Wardlaw to Cameron and a rookie ($102k mid rookie) which finishes the team with Fyfe covering M9/F7 and leaves me with $236k to do:

TU: Macrae & Johnson to Dawson and Keays with $116k for injury trades and Keays can then loop with Steele on the run home while Fyfe and Ziebell can loop with each other in the forwards.
TD: Ziebell & Sheezel to Dawson & Parish (or anyone below $590k) with $24k for injuries but get the better players in with Steele at M8 and Cameron at F6 with Fyfe swinging between M9 and F7

  61. Torn on trading Marshall vs Briggs

T/U – Marshall out to allow final two upgrades (Mitchell & Oliver). Will leave full premo wtih 4 trades left – Fyfe & S.Mitchell as best bench cover

T/D – Briggs out for same two upgrades – will leave 5 trades left @ Full Premo – Fyfe & Maric as bench cover (no DEF Cover unless a rookie appears)

    1. Interesting. So next week (assuming Oliver is back playing), is he worth an extra trade? Can’t get him in 2 trades but I can in 3

    1. Dragoons,
Thats a ridiculously good side with still 15 trades left.
      Cash generation is limited though.
      Ford >> Harrison
      English >> Briggs
      Cincotta >> Dawson
Dawson onfield >> Sheezel to bench

Sheezel to FWD next week when you trade van Rooyen out

  70. Will probably need just 1 more downgrade from here on out to have some cash in the bank. 6 trades left and full premo.
Is it worth going Johnson – Harrison?

Will leave 160k ITB for any emergency trades.
    T/U: Go for it
T/D: Wait, could be better options than Harrison to come through.

  71. TU: Sicily, Briggs, Ford, Sharp > Darcy Cameron, Luke Ryan, Sheldrick and Fletcher. 18 players playing this round, allows me to get a full premium team in two weeks.

TD: Sicily, Briggs, Ford, Humphrey> Merrett, Luke Ryan, Sheldrick and Darcy Cameron. Leaves me with only 17 players playing this week and allows me to get a full premium team next week.
Keep in mind im playing for overall rank, cheers legends
