  1. Steele and Coniglio out to Clark and literally whoever

I’m just sad for my saints. Hopefully he can get back in 6 weeks cause we need him. Round 15-17 is Sydney, Carlton and Fremantle and desperately need him for us to win those games

      1. Argh. Can you do any other MIDs, Johnno?

Bont played perma forward till the 3rd and isn’t at full match fitness and Brayshaw still has an annoying floor.

Can you ball out for Mills? Laird also deadly. Walsh also starting to cook with gas.

        1. I’m a brand new laird owner and love him, couldn’t rate him any higher. Has such a high floor and is super consistent.

        2. I traded Mills in the week before he got his 214. Been really happy with him. Brayshaw is just one of my favourites and I’d love to have him. Bont is partly hoping he gets forward status in two weeks cause he’s nearly at 40% forward. Laird is definitely under consideration, just didn’t want to be spending more than what Steele costs. Keays is also someone I’d be interested in if it works. I’ll be mulling it over all week I think.

Also now that SuperCoach has opened I’ve looked at boosting and doing Steele, Cogs and Dixon out to Bont, Brayshaw and Clark and for that I can’t afford Laird sadly.

      2. This is the question I’m considering also this week. Can’t afford the $600K ubers unless I get Cleary in off the back of one game, and that’s just a recipe for a kick in the guts.

I like Bont. He gets points for doing not much, has a nice run of games to the bye, and is a decent chance to get DPP status.

  2. Simple one this week. Holding Cogs for the time being, has WCE this week with a new coach who may play him in a friendlier role.

    Butters/Martin -> Brayshaw

    Rosas -> Clark

    What’s everyone think.

    Tu) Butters out

    Td) N Martin out

    14

    33
    1. Thinking the same with Cogs but if he doesn’t bounce back he’s going to lose so much cash

      6

      0
    2. Is Butters injured? His time on ground has been pretty low this year since the head knock in the 3rd round.

    1. Really not sure how this has so many T/D’s, it is exactly what I will be doing this week!

      5

      7
    1. Really tough, wanna hold like with butters this week. He is projected to leak almost 40k which is worrying though. Will be interesting to see if spike gives him a run in the middle.

      8

      0
    2. No I don’t think so. He was going to be my F6 and that’s still my plan unless someone better comes along. Wait and see as still a long season to play out yet. Just remember before this round he was a top 8 fwd averaging 94.6

      9

      0
    3. Just look at Butters…..it can turn around very quickly. If you have all your rookies off the field, its a possibility. Cogs could turn out a big 100+ any time.

      3

    1. Today’s game answered that for you, Olie.

Witts. Man’s in insane form, vibes with Miller and top notch HTA work.

      15

      2
    2. Interestingly I put the same question out last week and Darcy was the overwhelming favourite. How one week can change things hey! I’d go Witts

      4

      1
    1. Mills is exy at $669,500 and a BE of 167. Should drop in price next week. If u r happy spending the $$$ on him he is scoring well.

      7

      0
      1. I’d probably highlight GD’s response to me earlier. If you’ve got the cash for Mills, reckon I’d be jumping on Laird instead. Mills is just very expensive and I’m not confident he’ll be out scoring Laird from here.

        9

        2
  3. DEF – Sicily, Short, Crisp, Hewett, Ridley, McCartin (Gibcus, De Koning)
MID – Neale, Oliver, Laird, Miller, Macrae, Cripps, Daicos, Hobbs (McComb, Rioli, Parker)
RUC – Preuss, Gawn (S. Hayes)
FWD – Dunkley, Heeney, Brodie, Coniglio, Butters, Martin (Rosas, Curtis)

    $20k/20 trades remaining

These will probably be my last trades I’ll be making until Rd.12 or 13 if I can help it and no significant injuries occur.

Daicos and Martin OUT > Clark and English/L.Parker IN (depends on if English comes back this round)

As always, if any of you think I should be making other trade choices, feel free to reply to this comment 🙂

    2

    1
      1. I think Cogs has a higher ceiling, which is why I’m getting rid of Martin first (as good as he’s definitely been).

Or would it be worth using another boost to get rid of him as well? It would just leave me with one left, that’s the only thing I worry about

        2

        1
    1. Walsh could be an amazing POD. Quietly running with a 115 average and barely dipped under $600k.

      5

      1
  4. Thinking the following;

Whitfield > Uwland (donut down back)
Jack Hayes > Witts (Sam Hayes r3)
    Gibcus > Whitfield

This will have to come at the expense of my final trade boost. I am fed up with Whitfield who has cost me another league match up. Also need to bring in a premo ruck and get Sam Hayes off my field asap!

Witts next 2 games are against Jordan sweet and max lynch so feel like he will soon be out of reach! Final trade boost being used which is not ideal, however feel like sometimes you need to risk it and go with ya gut feel!

    Tu or Td

    Thoughts appreciated!!

    2

    12
    1. Think you have a typo Mika. Whitfield is in your plans twice! And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to bring him in!

      6

      1
  5. TU;

    Whitfield > Khamis
    Gibcus > Hewett
    Jack Hayes > Witts

This option means using my last trade boost

    OR…

    TD;
    Gibcus > Khamis
    Connor MacDonald > Laird

    9

    15
    1. Honestly man, wouldn’t be trading in Heeney, as an owner the last few weeks he’s been so frustrating to watch, he doesn’t hunt for the footy, he runs away from the contest. With Bont and B.Smith potentially getting forward status I would steer clear of Heeney.

      16

      3
    2. Not sure on Heeney. Five round average of 92 and not getting the CBAs we were promised. Happy days if you started him, but maybe just had a purple patch.

      5

      0
      1. Heeney’s blended MID role is dead, yes, but still in an excellent side and his contested mark and heavy score involvement profile means it doesn’t take much for him to go 90+.

No need to sell the farm for him but still ends up Top 6.

        9

        2
  6. Thinking Steele, Gibcus to Brayshaw and Miller
    Leaves me with

Sicily, Short, Crisp, Hewett, Vlastuin, Chapman (Daicos, Dr Koning)

Neale, Miller, MacRae, Cripps, Kelly, Brayshaw, Rowell, Martin (Rachele, McComb, Caroll)

Dunkley, Libba, Heeney, Brodie, Cogs, Butters (rioli, Rosas)

Thinking holding cogs for a week is a good idea with new coach and against West coast. Thinking of using a boost to get in Clark but not even sure who’s worth getting rid of.

    2

    0
  7. Is Coniglio -> Heeney a waste of a trade? Helps with Bye structure and might avoid a massive price drop for Cogs. GWS having North/new coach next week is leaning me towards hold. Other two trades are McDonald -> Clark and Steele -> Laird

    TU: Do it
    TD: Wasted trade

    8

    30
  8. Sicily, Short, Sinclair, Hewett, Mccartin, NOD (Daicos, Dr Koning)

Neale, Miller, Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, Steele, Clark, Martin (JHF, Hamilton, Long)

    Gawn, Witts (Preuss)

Dunkley, Treloar, Brodie, Cogs, Butters, Cameron (Dixon, Rosas)

    $170k ITB

Use the third trade boost (23 remaining) and bring in:

Cogs > Laird via Martin DPP
    Steele > Walsh
Dixon > Khamis via De Koning DPP

    T/u: yes
    T/d: no

    8

    3
    1. Additional query: who do I play in the ruck each week? Thinking a post bye trade to get rid of Gawn might be on the cards…or whoever gets injured first? Feels wrong to have a $639k playing player as my emergency this week

      1

      7
  9. Is it crazy to bring in B. Crouch now that Steele is out? BE 37, avg 103.
Last two weeks 111 and 140. Only under 96 pts once this year.
    And just $490k

    16

    6
    1. I’d absolutely love to do it Simon. I just think there’s so many good mid options this year but if getting him sets you up to do another upgrade then it’s worth considering but even my biased saints brain would be hesitant

      7

      0
  10. Steele has to go. Not sure which way to go. Need some help folks.

    TU: Touk Miller
    TD: Callum Mills

    Thanks everyone.

    30

    5
    1. Touk is the safe option, but mills could be the player who completely changes your team. i would take a risk on mills, just because he has shown us that he has a massive ceiling

      2

      2
  11. To boost or not? I’m undecided as to whether give Cogs another week or not. GWS have Eagles this week but with a BE of 146 he’s going to drop a heap of cash.

    T/U – Steele, Dixon > Petracca, Clark
    T/D – Steele, Dixon, Cogs > Petracca, Clark, Dawson/Pendles

    10

    8
  12. Really not sure how this has so many T/D’s, it is exactly what I will be doing this week!

  13. Wow. Have cogs martin and a rookie in fwd line.
I literally don’t want to bring anyone in. They all seem bad picks. No one screams must have.
Might actually grab lynch. Roller coasters are fun!

    2

    11
  14. Should I do…

    T/U – Nic Martin > Laird – (Via DPP)

    T/D – Nick Daicos > Docherty

Obviously taking into consideration Docherty is 80k cheaper than Laird!

    Thanks everyone 🙂

    12

    10
      1. Yes mate, cogs already going for Clark. Also have Butters but think he’s a hold especially after holding this past week.

        4

  15. TU;
    OUT = Gibcus, Connor MacDonald
    IN = Khamis, Laird

    TD;
OUT = Gibcus, Whitfield, Jack Hayes
    IN = Khamis, Hewett, Witts

(This option meaning I would have to use my final trade boost remaining. Sam Hayes moves to R3)

    8

    9
  16. Out – Steele, Cogs, De Koning
    In – Clark, Mills and

    T/U – Andrew Brayshaw
    T/D – Bailey Smith

    15

    4
      1. Thought about this one myself… nice cash grab. Different view on it to the poll numbers though.
Reckon DeKoning is getting better and really improving his numbers/confidence. Geelong will continue to play him- good j/s.
McCartin always just a small knock away from a long time out- in the past have only had to look at him and he’s concussed. J/S really good too, but I’m swaying towards keeping DeK

        9

        0
  17. Who needs trading out first?
    T/U- Josh Rachele (higher BE)
T/D- Maurice Rioli Jnr (only had for 2 weeks ..may be long enough)

    28

    0
    1. Nah, give Maurice Rioli another chance. We always knew he would be a bit on and off, so as long as he isn’t on the field for you just loophole him and you should be fine

      6

      0
  18. T/U – Mills and Brayshaw/Petracca
    T/D – Miller and Walsh

I am leaning towards Mills and Brayshaw/Petracca solely because I am falling behind the pack a bit and Mills has proven that he has a MASSIVE ceiling.
Miller and Walsh would probably be the safer option, but I feel I need to play a bit risky

    5

    10
    1. Who could you get if you brought in Laird rather than Mills? Cause Laird and Walsh could be an awesome combo

      5

      0
      1. Ive just managed to make that work actually, so I’m going to be doing that I think

        5

        0
  19. Have to trade Steele
    TU Sicily
    TD Wines
Wines looks a good value pick and Sicily a must have. I need someone that doesn’t have round 13 bye
    Any other suggestions appreciated

    14

    2
  20. Steele and Cogs for Dusty and Sinclair. Best I can do with limited funds in bank. Thoughts?

    6

    6
    1. I think Sinclair looks good value, De Goey maybe in the forward line if he can go back to translating his CBA numbers into possessions

      3

      1
      1. was thinking similar about sinclair but round 12 bye is no good, thinking of paying up for sicily for the luxury of having the r14 bye. also had my eye on degoey but with his string of scores its hard to trade him in with any confidence

        1

        0
        1. I’d probably want to see De Goey ton before bringing him in with his current form. If you can get him Sicily just seems like the best defender but if you don’t have Cripps he could be value with that bye

          0

          0
          1. Aaron hall if back could even be a cheeky pod pick…. comes with risk obviously but interesting if back this week

            1

            1
  21. Out. Steele, Cogs and Hayes
    In. Touk, Brayshaw and Clark
    TU yes do it
TD no, it only leaves you with 16 trades and 1 boost.

    17

    3
  22. Alright finally managed to sort out my trades for this week

Out – Steele, Coniglio, De Koning
    In – Laird, Walsh, Clark

    T/U – Yes great trades
T/D – No save the boost

    Comment – Other trade ideas

    21

    2
    1. Around this price and points average I see Dawson, Dusty, Pendles, Brayshaw(F), Smith(WB), Crouch, Parker, Libba. Lots of DPP and high ceiling there. Who are your other mids & how much money and ripe rookies do you have?

      0

      0
  23. Who is more important to trade first?
TU- Whitfield (currently d5 with daicos d6)
TD- Cogs (currently f5 with martin f6)

Midfield is 7 deep with keepers and clark on field.

    11

    4
  24. Have pulled the trigger on my last trade boost.

    Out: JHF, NoD, Martin.
    In: Dusty, Clark, Laird.

Leaves me at full premo in Mids and Fwds with 18 trades left and 325k for the byes.

    7

    1
  25. Going Gibcus > Khamis this week, along with;

    TU:
    De Koning > Hewett
    Coniglio > Laird
(Final trade boost will be used)

    TD:
    Dylan Stephens > Laird

    1

    13
  26. TU
    OUT: Cogs, Steele, CMacdonald
    IN: Parish, Clark, Sicily

    TD
    OUT: Steele, CMac, O’Driscoll
    IN: Parish, Clark, Khamis
    ITB: $388k

My reasoning for considering bottom option are 3 fattened up defenders and little def rookies coming through so good chance to make some $$$ on my bench with Khamis. Also hesitant to get rid of cogs as plays WCE and once 37 is out of his system will be about where he is now in price but will get me some points over next 4 weeks.

    4

    1
  27. JHF, Stephens, Cogs to Laird, Clark, Khamis/Thompson

Leaves me with 20 trades (1 boost), $84k, and the following team for the byes:

DEF: Sicily, Short, Crisp, Hewett, Sinclair, Daicos (McCartin, Khamis)

MID: Neale, Oliver, Laird, Miller, Macrae, Cripps, Petracca, Smith (Ward, Clark, Carroll)

    RUC: Preuss, Hayes (English)

FOR: Dunkley, Heeney, Brodie, Butters, Martin, SDK (Curtis, Rioli)

    TU or TD?

    1

    1
  28. TU Ward + Cogs > Dusty + Clark 70k left

TD Ward + Cogs > Brayshaw + Clark $0 left

I’m considering dusty because I already have Dunkley, Parker and Treloar. Heeney still has a high BE and I don’t like Libba for the byes. So this pretty much is a question of brayshaw and have no cash or Dusty with some cash banked.

    0

    3
    1. Can you wait a week on Stewart?
If not, I like McGovern. Take out his 62 and he’s up there as one of the most consistent scorers.
      Or Sicily.

      3

      1
  29. TU: Petracca + Sicily ($1k itb)

TD: Cripps + Hewett ($30k itb, keeping in mind I already have Walsh so would make 3x Carlton mids, byes aren’t a concern though)

    6

    2
  30. Is greg clark a must get this week have 18 trades left 3 rookies on feild thinking of going steele to dusty and daicos to Darcy cameron thoughts?

    1

    10
  31. Which trade is better
    TU:
    Steele > Laird
    Daicos > Zorko
    Coniglio > Bailey Smith
    4k itb
    TD:
    Steele > Laird
    Daicos > Clark via dpp
    N.Long > Petracca
    53k itb

    1

    9
  32. Tu) McComb/Rosas & N. Martin -> Clark & Brayshaw

    Td) use my last boost.
Butters, SDK, N. Martin -> Clark, Brayshaw & Dusty

    7

    1
  33. What do we think of Buku Khamis job security?

Any other decent rookie options this week apart from Clarke & Buku?

    4

    0
    1. will be interesting when josh bruce is back think he is still 2 moths away can’t see anyone taking his spot unitl then bevo dosent like jamara

      3

      0
  34. This is to all my ex girlfriends who said I had commitment issues….I’m keeping Cogs! New coach, west coast next and north in a few weeks. I know he will plummet in price but we’ve seen his high ceiling and there’s bigger problems in my team atm.

    15

    1
  35. Held English (572k) since his injury in R6, he is already confirmed out this week with severe flu and may need a few weeks to ‘get his bearings’. Worth keeping or trading?

Can bring in a premo (Dawson, Wines, Laird), and possibly trade back fwd in R14 via D Cameron

    0

    5
  36. Rate the trade:
    Steele > Laird
    Hinge > Petracca via dpp
    Rosas > Clark via dpp
This means i would have to keep daicos and cogs i think im ok with that tho and would rather do this as i can get carroll off the field for clark and then mccartin off the field for petracca (via parker dpp)

    5

    0
    1. Love your first two trades!!

However I watched the GC game closely, and thought Rosas looked pretty good (on what was a crappy weather day).

He has some serious pace & agility, therefore I can see an 70 or 80 score from him in the near future – so he will then have good cash generation.

Is there someone else you can drop for Clark?

      2

      0
      1. Not really mate i could get rid of de koning, mccartin or durdin but all of them scored well on the weeknd and have some decent cash still to make IMO

        0

        0
        1. SDK or Mccartin only have about 10-25k left in them pre-bye, unless they pump out an 80+. I’m not saying you need to get rid of them, but they’re nearing the end of their cash gen. If you hold Rosas until his bye, he’ll go up another 30k if he scores his average (just needs that 18 to roll out of his 3-round average).

          2

          0
  37. Is Rory Thompson a viable down grade target to provide relaible bench cover albeit circa 30 points?

    5

    1
  38. Is anybody else struggling with trades, I don’t think I have traded to upgrade yet, struggling just to keep ahead of Covid H&S plus injuries.
    Best replacement for Steele.
    T/U Mills
    T/D Laird

    4

    18
  39. Steele -> Laird
    Rowell -> Petracca
    JHF -> Clark

I’m keeping cogs at the moment. I still think he can be a f6 and the way my team is structured atm would expose my forward line if I traded him

    7

    1
  40. Would it be worth while trading
Luke Ryan out for Jake Lloyd?
Ryan has averaged 66 the last 3 rds
Lloyd has averaged 99 the last 3 rds.

    Tu: yes
    Td: no save the trade.

    2

    8
    1. Real hard one, have been tossing up trading him out also

Feel like still better to hold since he has a good bye and upgrading around him, maybe he can bring back some form in the meantime. If not, will be a higher value player that can use to get to a stewart, docherty, witherden or sinclair in the round 14 bye round

*also has carried an injury the last two weeks to some degree

      1

      0
      1. He’s been pretty disappointing, I have focused mainly on getting
my rookies off the ground I
have Daicos D6 ,only problem is I
        started Whitfield and Ryan. I’m
        Trading Steele to Petracca
N Martin to Treloar or Bailey Smith
I would’ve used my last boost
on that trade. So maybe keeping
the boost is the way to go.

        2

        0
    1. I’d leave for the time being, Wait and see what results from new coach and players playing for pride- certainly didn’t play for Cameron.
Gun Forwards not really set yet- just a few weeks ago Heeney was a must have on these threads. Players also go through troughs- have their ups and downs. Make a decision on his bye round imo.

      4

      0
  41. Just watched 7 news and they chatted to Tim English. He’s still hopeful of playing this week- even though coach ruled him out last week, so who knows?
I need Tim named this week to save me wasting a Coniglio trade- only options are players such as Heeney, etc.

    1

    0
  42. One to trade out –

TU: Gibcus (has R12 bye – bench rookies are a combo of SDK / McCartin / Daicos)
TD: Daicos (R14 bye handy, better bench option then McComb & Rioli & non playing loophole Long)

    Other option of JHF?

    12

    0
  43. Have pretty much locked in:
Steele and J.Hayes to Laird and G.Clark (via dpp)

Is it worth using my 4th boost to go M8 Rowell up to Sicily, completing backline and leaving Daicos at M8. OR Cogs/Rowell up to a Heeney type. Not having Sicily and Heeney has hurt me.

Rookies still on field: Daicos (holding until bye), Hayes, McCartin, Martin (holding until bye)

    TU: Use the boost
TD: Save the boost and hold cash in bank for coming weeks.

    8

    2
  44. N. Martin, Steele & Daicos
    for
    Mills, Clark & Bont/Petracca
    20 trades & $43K left

Will mean options for De Koning/McCartin/Gibcus for D6 and Hamilton/Rioli/Rosas/MacDonald for F6

    4

    1
  45. Out – Daicos, Hough and De Koning

In – Sicily, Khamis and Clark

    TU – Good trades
    TD – Bad trades

    6

    3
  46. With the emotion from yesterday subsiding a little, I’m starting to think about trading Nic Martin out instead of Coniglio. Not many forwards with his ceiling and could really see him as a potential F6 while Martin is one of two rookies I’ve got left on field so would be nice to change that number to 1. Last one will be McCartin and SDK to Docherty leading into round 13 provided I can control myself. So who to trade out?

    TU: Coniglio
    TD: Martin

  48. Ok looking at something a little left field

    Steel to Laird
    Hinge to Zorko

I can see Zorko either making or breaking my year
    Thoughts ?

    1. Zorko the kind of guy that’s worth taking a punt on as a POD.

Huge ceiling, and has a great role in a great team.

  49. For my final defensive upgrade and considering their price who to get this week:
    T/u Stewart
    T/d Docherty

Also any love for McGovern? At $495k seems good value.
If you take out his 62 against the Tigers he is averaging 112.
Too risky with The potential to miss with Covid?

    1. I really like the McGovern. He was already out with covid a couple of weeks back so should be one of the eagles who you can confidently pick without having to worry about covid

      1. The other thing about the Eagles is pick a back man- it’s down there all the time! It’s like they’re on ballers!

  50. Rowell – – – > Laird
    Or
    Rowell – – – > McCrae

McCrae seems to be at a good price, but I can’t get past Laird’s consistency.

    TU: Laird
    TD: McCrae

  51. Due purely to trying to field best numbers in the bye rounds, I can’t go Steele to Laird, so it’s either of the Demons boys (or a cheeky Sicily to complete the backline)

TU: Oliver ($161k in bank, safer captain option but paying more for him which takes out the likelihood of a simple upgrade next week)

TD: Petracca ($228k in bank, not quite the captain option imo but cheaper and hoping he has a ripper finish like last year)

    Comment: Sicily

  52. What’s better trade
    TU: Daicos > Petracca
    TD: Martin > Oliver

Don’t have funds to go daicos to Oliver

  53. Don’t have Sicily yet, could bring him in but would mean that I’d need to get a mid or def under 550k…is it worth it to bring in sicily? Or would another cheaper defender potentially perform as well and allow me to bring in Walsh/Cripps?

    1. Sinclair, Dawson, Hewett, pendelbury or even a mcgovern or zorko if your willing to take a calculated risk

  54. Is Aaron hall okay to bring in this week provided his named?

Only have 520k for a defender and I can see him averaging in the top 6 defenders.

    Thoughts appreciated!
