  1. FWD rookies always tricky. Campbell and Warner are firmly on field, thinking Rowe will go alright v Suns, not even considering Brockman, so it comes down to:

    T.U: Scott v Roos

    T.D: McDonald v Tigers

  2. TU: Powell against the Dogs with Cunnington back for the first game of the season.

TD: Paddy Dow against Freo with Fyfe out as well as Martin and Fisher out with 7 CBA Fisher Rd 1 and 5 for Martin Rd 2

    1. I’m benching Powell, he’ll be out of his depth v Dogs MIDs. Cunnington back also doesn’t help.

      1. Personally think Powell is good enough to get on top of the dogs. Sure he’s young but at the feet of Goldy I don’t see anything less than a cool 125.

  3. Hello,

So Bergman been omitted should i trade in Warner and bench jones(he is playing)? But i have a risk on getting a 0 cause of Highmore been omitted have no cover

TU: Yes do it bench Jones and trade in Warner.

TD: Save a trade and wait.

    Thank you very much.

  4. my dilemma is
i don’t really want to Rowe’s 40 from the bench for the omitted brockman
can either trade out Downie & use DPP to bring in holmes , a 121 k geelong DPP rookie who apparently has a huge tank & goes pretty well in the guts
    ( might be sub )
    or
just cut out the middle man & bring in Dusty & hope he can maintain his good start
    got 1.4 mill to spend

  5. T/U Take Steele 132 captaincy score and Powell 49 score
T/D gamble on Gawn and place Brockman on field

    1. Ooo tough one, Paul.

Gawn can beat Steele’s 132 no problem, issue is Brockman could easily go 20.

      So, you’ve got:

      Steele C + Powell = 313

      Gawn 140~ + Brockman 20-70 = 300-350

Is potential for an extra 40~ points (if Gawn delivers and Brockman goes 70) worth the risk of him not touching the ball? Not sure, think I’d just roll with Steele.

Up to you though, getting aggressive might pan out.

      Good luck.

  6. Thanks GB
My thinking is a bit scrambled this year as normally I play Just for overall rank and would go with percentages and Steele / Powell option but I’m in a couple cash leagues head to head this year and both opponents had Grundy Vc into C option and may need to take a risk .
You are right though more to lose then gain . Who knows Cripps and Dow May even fire

    1. No word on whether Kos plays just yet.

If he is dropped I guess it depends on how many trades you have left tbh. If you’ve already used 2 or 3, I’d just cop the donut. Kos wasn’t/isn’t going to score more than 30 against the Cats, you would think.

    2. The Geelong – Hawthorn VFL game is played tomorrow before Carlton game so we should get some indication about Koschitzke and Jordan Clarke.

    1. Flynn against Gawn
      Meek against Pittonet
Meek was arguably better ruck vs Flynn last week
      I’m going with Meek

  7. Heath Chapman. Anyone got any info? Used 2 trades so far, all good rookies in. Considering Kosi to Chapman to avoid a donut if Kosi isn’t named.

    1. Hmm. Done a bit more research. Looks like he’ll be a good player but job security a bit of a concern. Could easily be the injury sub one week. Think I’m just gonna cop a donut and save the trade if Kosi not named…

      1. Tommy.

Luke Parks $102K Carlton def named this week.

190cm “plays taller than his height”

        Better than a donut.

    1. This is not confirmed. True, that him not playing VFL is a good sign but Mitch Lewis and Tim O’Brien also did not play. We will not know for certain until 6.25. Good luck.

    1. Hinch.

      JS stands for job security.

Sometimes there’s a fair bit of guess work. Highmore is a great example.
The way the Saints played he may be straight back in.

      Lets hope so.
