Carrazz v Gilbs

by Motts on April 22, 2010

With Hodge and Goddard in my backline I’m considering a Defender/Midfielder Dual Position Player (D/M DPP) for my midfield to take advantage of the flexibility the new rule provides. Which one would you choose?

Who’s coming out Mottsy, I was looking at Gilbes myself but already have 4 doggies in my side. Didn’t you or Cam say Razzo will be playing a taggers role this year ?

It’ll be a rookie that comes out. Probably Trengove.

And yes, I did suspect that Carrazzo would be playing a taggers role this year. Now I don’t know. Aaron Joseph is the most likely person to pick up GAJ this week given his job on him late last year.

Looking forward to putting my boys up against yours this week. Planning any trades yourself?

Yeah, trying to get Rocky in my forward line but am undecided whom to downgrade for him and then probably upgrading Shu for a premium midfielder with cash from the Rocky trade.

Hall would seem to be the obvious choice.

Yeah, but I’ll look like a douche if kicks a bag against the crows, along with Murphs who should find some form as well, I hope.

Gilbs because the blue boys have a horrendous month ahead.

Was that a typo stevo? season instead of month is what I think you meant to write.

hey motts can we have a poll on who would you pick as your next premium midfielder to pick up. I’m gonna upgrade ball this week. but can’t choose out of murphey, simpson, swan and dal santo. then next week with my cash swap mitchell for riscitelli hopefully

I’d take Jared Brennan… the question posed after round one seems like a good call now Motts.

So the options you want are: Murphy, Simmo, Swan, NDS & Rischitelli?

is there anything wrong with having rischetelli in your team?? im thinking of trading bally for obvious reasons that he is an official hack. scores are pretty pleasing for rischetelli xcept for that 76 but hey thats better than ballys 4-bloody-7!
thoughts peoples?…

I have never been a Ball fan and still can’t believe that it seems so many people fell into his trap at the start of the seoson but that is beside the point, yeah I can’t see anything wrong with this trade Ball must go and if Rischitelli is in the price range go for it.
I think if you have the coin then go for Brennan but he is another 40k more the Ris.

Consider Joel Corey – I’m bringing him in for Ball this week as he’s dropped 46K due to slow start after interrupted preseason. His SC record is extremely impressive both from scoring and durability measures.

I have Gilbee in the midfield already and happy with his output. More problematic for me I still have the Riewoldt dilemma as he is still on my bench doing nothing. I scored 2,197 last round with good performers in my forward line (Apart from R Murphy who I will stick with). But where to from here….I have Pavlich, J Brown, Murphy, Ziebell, Rockliff, Peterson & Pods. Roo and T Walker on the pine…. I was going to save a trade at this stage however the J Brown injury is persisting in the media and I cannot have nil premiums up front…..Any feedback fellas?

unless you already have him in your midfield, i would pick up o’keefe. the guy was born for supercoach.

Agreed or Chappy (risk the body he’ll be fine) is also a born SC Star.

nah riscitelli isn’t in that category yet. but if mitchell doesnt come good this week i will prob trade him in for mitchell. just NDS, swan, Murph, simpson would suffice for now

Just read on the news alert in the elevator (yep, we got lectricity in Radelaide) that Taylor Walker is DROPPED. Seems odd, given he can walk – which is a rarety anywhere forward of center for the Crows at the moment.

Leaves me in a conundrum (we have lectricity, but no spell-checkers it seems) as to who to drop for Rocky: Ballantyne or Walker. Prolly Walker, I spose.

Yargh.

Go ROK as Goddard is going to have to play as a key position forward from now on and isn’t going to kick a bag every week. I have him and am a bit concerned with rooey going down.

As Magoo says “unless you already have him in your midfield, i would pick up o’keefe. the guy was born for supercoach”
