R16, 2016, Hawthorn 15.11 (101) d Port Adelaide 12.7 (79) at Adelaide Oval

R4, 2015, Port Adelaide 15.9 (99) d Hawthorn 13.13 (91) at Adelaide Oval
2PF, 2014, Hawthorn 15.7 (97) d Port Adelaide 13.16 (94) at the MCG

SUMMARY

With just one defeat there since 2012, the old ‘York Park’ remains a fortress for Hawthorn, however Port Adelaide probably couldn’t have picked a better time to travel to Tasmania, having enjoyed the bye while the Hawks are coming off a six-day break and a bruising slog against West Coast. With the Power it often seems a question of what is happening upstairs, and provided they come with the right mindset, they’ll probably be a bit too slick and quick for the Hawks. A win keeps the Power in touch with the top four, while a fourth straight loss would make it tough for the Hawks to play finals. They’ll bring the effort and keep it close, but it might not be enough

Thommo’s Tip: Sadly, Port by 18ย points

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we arenโ€™t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they havenโ€™t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

  1. Holding off on Rockliff this rd – have Cunico & Holman in mids, who shld increase around the same rate initially as Rocky. If he comes back and doesn’t get injured/kills it this week, may jump on. Atleast that’s my logic and I’m sticking to it ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Might rename my team HowtheFisRockyinmyteamagain.

Seriously, every year he ends up in my team. Reckon I’ll still be picking him when he retires. On my death bed my final words will be “Rocky looks underpriced”. My tombstone will read “He placed too much trust in Rocky”. Argh, what have I done.

        1. It appears Rocky is tagging Mitchell in the 2nd half. Somewhat explains his poor score plus why Mitchell has slowed right up since HT.

  5. Went ahead and picked ‘consistent’ Boak at the last minute instead of Walters… arsehole.

Speaking of which, wtf has happened for Port players after half time? Barely any have scored..

  7. I have a feeling that Westhoff is going to be the 2018 version of Heath Shaw in 2017

62 at half time and 78 at full time ….really … where’d you go?

    1. He had nearly 50 at qtr-time. Barry Crocker. Watched the second half. Surprised he got any points to be honest!
