    1. I feel Ballenden will have better JS as he is playing second ruck with Archie Smith and Stefan Martin out for another 6 weeks. Skinner seemed to be playing McStay’s role and he is expected back next week.

  1. Currently top 1%, need to keep scoring, thinking the following;

    Conroy > Draper
    D. Smith > Skinner
    Day > Stewart

Might be chopping Day a little early, however I have no one else to chop to make way for Stewart. Feel like he is too good to miss out on at his price.
Am also fed up with D.Smith, this is my chance to finally move him on.

    Tu or Td???

    1. You get an extra score in Stewart while Day is out.
And whatever money Day is set to make from here on Stewart will return more.

      100% lock it in

  2. Stewart looks like the obvious upgrade target this week but my DEF is already strong with 5 premos and McPherson at F6.

My FWD is the weakest of my lines with only three premos and playing Rankine and Taylor on field plus a loophole of Aarts/Budarick each week.

Given all that, should I be looking at grabbing Dusty and bolstering my FWD line over finishing off my DEF?

    TU – Stewart
    TD – Dusty

  3. Looking to make a downgrade this week and have a few options of which cows to cull. Will be bringing in one of the two options below and would appreciate coaches’ thoughts on who has the best job security in coming weeks
    TU – Sam Skinner (BL)
    TD – James Bell (Syd)
    Thanks in advance!

  4. Rephrase my earlier query:

Tu: Duncan and Dustin (keep Devon Smith, trade Simpkin, gives me a Petracca/Whitfield/BSmith/Martin/ABrayshaw Fwd line)

Td: Duncan and Stewart (keep Simpkin, trade Devon Smith, complete DEF)

  5. TU Neale- so it. Exxy but he’s worth every dollar.
TD Duncan-fantastic value. And will allow me funds to pursue Cripps next week and maybe even Gawn.

  6. Which rookie to trade out first? (already bringing in Stewart & draper for starc & conroy)

    TU: Rankine for Skinner
    TD: Budarick for Skinner

Comment – Is Bell a better downgrade than Skinner with the higher price?
    Cheers!

  7. Similar to above – which rookie to trade out this week

TU : Rivers (will have $1900 only in bank with this choice)
TD : Starcevich -gives me extra bank but will have one donut in DEF this week without him, which shouldn’t matter with only 18 to count….

    1. Depends on who you want to bring in or your other cover for defence (are they on a bye, non-playing rookie?). Ideally, clear Rivers to get either a playing rookie or Stewart if that’s your plan

  8. Came to my senses and won’t be trading Docherty.

    T/U:
    S Simpson (in doubt) —> T Watson
    Rankine —> Draper
    D Smith —> Neale

    T/D:
    Rivers —> Bell
    Budarick —> Draper
    S Hill —> Stewart

  9. Trading in either
    TU: Bell
    TD: Close

Bell seems the safer option only because I will know if he has kept his place in the Cats team tonight, whereas Bell I won’t know until tomorrow night, but not in time as the trades I’m doing will need to be done before the Cats-NM game at 5.40pm tomorrow.

  10. Who to trade in:
TU: Skinner (JS shaky as he might get dropped for Mcstay but 30k cheaper)
TD: Bell (possibly better scores but has a bye next week allowing injured players to come back)

  11. TU – Taylor, Sturt, Simpkin > Duncan,Dusty & Draper (2k left)
TD – Taylor & Sturt > Duncan & Draper. Means I keep Simpkin (92k left)

  12. Decision Time

    TU : Out – Williamson, C Taylor & Rivers,
In – T Stewart, Draper & Skinner with no bank left or

    TU : Out – Williamson, C Taylor & D Smith
In – T Stewart, Draper & Close with $155k left

Still have Starcevich & Rivers as my swings.

  13. Now that McPherson is out i need a defender under 223k to avoid a donut. Any suggestions? Or should I cop the donut and follow the plan of getting in skinner/bell

    1. Hey, Chris.

Sholl, McAsey, and Guthrie are all set to play. Only other option is Ling from Sydney @ 137k, will probably hold his spot.

    2. Sholl from Adelaide is a DEF – but no idea of what his JS is like. Else, T Watson from Freo looks good – but has a bye!!

  14. To trade in T Stewart, who goes out :

TU – D Smith, gives me $155k in bank for next week
TD – Rankine, gives me $80k in bank but one extra “premium” in D Smith on field

  15. Tossing up between Thinking my MID line needs more work than DEF

DEF – Lloyd, Crisp, Doc, Doedee, Lukousis, Noble (Rivers, Keane)
MID – Macrae, Treloar, Danger, Cripps, Bont, Simpkin, Simpson, Bennell (Close, McInerny, Budarick)

T/U – Rankine to Duncan (Simpkin to FWD) = $25k left
T/D – McInerny to Stewart (Rivers to MID) = $61k left

  16. I’m looping Georgiades’ 64.

    Who scores more out of…
    T/U – Cameron
    T/D – Close
    ???
    Thanks coaches

  17. I have aarts on the bench as an emergency but I want his 85 to count. If I swap my team around to have 17 on the field, and say him and close as my only 2 emergencies. In the off chance close scores more than aarts do I get close’s score?

    2
    1. I wouldn’t have thought so, I assume Supercoach will still pick the lowest score of the two emergencies. Is there anyone you’d swap or dpp swap Close with if you’re confident he will score well?

      1. I thought that would be the case otherwise you could field 17 and then have 4 emergencies fighting for the last spot essentially.

More worried if Close scores less if I get his score. I will play 17 then just have Aarts as my only emergency

        1. Rance just had a similar question to you on the Trade Talk page. According to Matt, apparently the highest scorer is taken from the two emergencies (i.e if Close scores higher than Aarts you get that). I am very surprised! Might need to clarify from other members if this is actually the case. Apologies if I’ve misled or confused you!

          1. Haha no worries I was confused at the start anyway! It does seem strange though as you could field 17 then play 4 emergencies to get the top score of one of them. Maybe they are being lenient over the bye rounds.

I think I’ll just hedge my bets and play aarts as the only emergency

  18. Need to go early on a rookie on any line, preferably mid.

    T/U Schoenberg

    T/D Hosie

    1. Hey TrooRoo, have a read of Afl’s write up on Schoenberg if you’ve got time, sounds like a midfield bull so hopefully that translates to a couple of contested possessions at least. All the best with whatever you decide!
