Game Chat : Collingwood v Western Bulldogs

Pies v Dogs @ Marvel  19:40 AEST

If ever the Doggies had a chance to skip over the pretenders tag and take a big scalp, surely tonight should have been the night.

Unfortunately, they have somewhat levelled the playing field by losing two of their key components in Naughton and Ed Richards. Richards in particular has provided serious drive in the past few weeks in the guts and will be harder to cover with their own kids.

Air Naughton is covered by the enigmatic Rory Lobb who should provide a target up forward seeing as how he is looking to increase his chances of a good contract at his fourth club next year.

The kids at the Pies keep getting it done, but despite the inclusion of experienced campaigner Jeremy Howe, my gut feeling is the Doggies sneak home in this one.

  1. I’m as 1 eyed as they come for a pies supporter but sadly we can’t possibly win tonight. We can’t even field a full seconds side. Take the good with the bad.
For what it’s worth go my beloved pies

    1. You underestimate Magnets Bevo’s ability to lose in the face of winning odds. Pies by 2 goals.

      1. This is true, Hplate. But not even tonight that can happen. I think it’s 10 out of last years GF side not playing tonight

  2. Asked this in Last Minute queries but hoping for more coaches on here.

Have done Richards to McAuliffe to give me 20 playing this week.
Is it worth trading out H Garcia to Harrison?
Still only 20 on the field this week, and Garcia & Harrison both have R15 bye
    I have 15 trades left
TU: Trade H Garcia to Harrison
TD: Not worth it. Wait for a cheaper rookie, maybe Dawson next week

    1. Grundy was negative something early in the 1st quarter last week but not -20 I don’t think?

  3. Is it just me or has everyone else noticed how biased luke Darcy is when commentating and speaking about Sam. Lol

    1. Bias as in criticising his son more than he would other players.
I think he commentates his son quite well

  4. I’m noticing the umpires have a poor conception of what 15 metres is. That kick of Treloars that went literally 7 metres and was paid a mark, and WB goaled – just ridiculous.

        1. Think he was on about 98 at 3/4 time Derek so I think it was an 89 point quarter. Unbelievable.

  5. I’m sure JMacrae was on 90 at the 5 min mark of the 3rd quarter. Finished in 101. Ball hog Bont.
