Game Chat – Fremantle v Port Adelaide

Written by Father Dougal on June 21 2020

Where and when: Sunday 21th June at 8:10pm (AEST) at Metricon Stadium

Last time they met: Rd 23, 2019: Port Adelaide 15.20 (110) def Fremantle 10.7 (67)

What it means for the Dockers: The chance to stay ahead of the Crows and dodge the wooden spoon. Maybe even a chance to salvage their season, which is already looking dodgy.

What it means for the Power: Staying undefeated! They need to be able to put away teams like the Dockers if they are serious top 2 contenders. Losing today puts them back in the pack.

Supercoach Watch:

Freemantle: Nat Fyfe is still a fine captain option. Brayshaw still hopes to break out. Sturt returns, and Ryan owners are hoping he follows up his ton with more ton.

Port: D+R+B of course. (Duursma, Rozee, and everyone knows it’s Butters!)  Do people still own Rockliff? Georgiades too.

Father Dougal’s Watch: Hogan returns! Nobody owns him, yet, but this game could change that.

Father Dougal’s Tip: Port by 20. This looks like a mismatch. I would not be shocked at a blowout.

    1. GD, I’m playing you in the Contributors League and I’ve got you on 1910 already, plus whatever Sturt scores over 34. Could be wrong, but I think you’re doing better than you know!

  3. It is absolutely bucketing down for all those not watching, lots of soccers and tackles with stoppages.

  4. Apparently it absolutely pouring rain this quarter. Probably doesn’t help Sturt as he still hasn’t had an involvement

      1. I didn’t expect him to score well, but I did expect him to score something.

To be fair the conditions aren’t helping him

    1. Not good for him but does it help Houston as he needs to do something or he is gone this week
