Where and when: MCG, Saturday June 22, 1.45pm
What it means for Melbourne: The Demons have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks but have struggled to put together a four-quarter performance. A win will restore confidence ahead of the second half of the season.
What it means for Fremantle: It’s a Fremantle side on the rise, having now won three in a row. While not the highest-scoring team, Saturday is a chance to put a good score on the board.
The match-up: Michael Walters v Michael Hibberd
“Sonny” Walters (ranked 22 overall in the AFL Player Ratings) is in the form of his life, playing predominantly forward and coming off a six-goal haul. Hibberd’s strongest games this year have come when tasked with a lockdown role, and none are currently bigger.
It’s a big week for: Jesse Hogan
Formerly Melbourne’s next big hope, Hogan returned home to Perth during the off-season and will be facing his old side for the first time. After a slow start to the year, Hogan is starting to hit form, kicking five goals over the past two weeks.
Big call: Melbourne co-captain Nathan Jones has found himself all over the park this year to varying levels of success but will kick three goals this weekend.
Mottsy’s Tip: Dockers by 30 points

This is the game Melbourne win to get their season back on track. They will finish with 10-11 wins and just miss finals.
Will the wet effect Gawns scoring? , should we loop someone else ?
There may be a shower early, but reckon that’s it, and we know how well the track drains so no biggy I don’t think.
gawny plays better on wet days i recon

For sure. Might be a better choice than Sicily for F6 😉
Ugh. Sicily. Don’t re-traumatize me, AS.
Couldn’t do much worse!
Brought him in this week to allow me to get Dunkley. All praise to the SC gods, u have been most kind.
Ooo nice one, Sam.

Come on Max. Give Darcy a bath this half. Please!!
are they using different footy’s this week ?
seems like no one can kick over 30m
Going early on Logue is paying off nicely. JS is brilliant with Pearce out, nice little money earner to finish off the year.
The way Logue is going may need to be in my starting back 6 regularly and Hore and Sicily can be bench cover 🙂
Hore hav’n a mung
Logue in as a cheap D7 next week. I’ll then have good cover across every line.
If Lougue keep producing good scores like this he be my next player to target with prem
S. Hill done for the day
Gawn losing the ruck contest
yeh
no one maintains a 700 k price tag
P Dangerfield Circa 2017

Neale TU
Grundy (May not be 100%) TD

anyone got lockhart in their team?
Not at the game but Gawn score is going crazy in the last quarter. Does it reflect his game?
Rookie Logue is doing good got his ton good trade to have
Not a first year player, Logue has just been injured long term. Looks good, crazy to think if Pearce was still in he probably be playing WAFL
Gawn has come from nowhere. He is on 151
maximus
