How’d You Go

by Motts on July 5, 2010

Not a great weekend for me. Managed to score roughly my average (2,185) and unexpectedly picked up in a win in my primary league but lost to Cam and lost in the LoEC. Most painfully I lost in DT by a solitary point. For the last 5 minutes of the game I was watching the stats hoping Goddard would get one more touch but no it wasn’t to be. Shattered.

How’d you go? And will you be trading anyone other than Barlow this week?

The Barlow situation is one that I need to think about. Joey and Chapman seem likely options, Cross, Boyd & Hayes are potentially there, maybe Beams, Sidebottom, Selwood, Bartel or even Hey Jude, Cotchin or one of the bluebaggers Murph or Gibbs.
Another option is to drag a forward into the mids and grab a Riewoldt forward type.

Worthy of a boast this week, a victorious 2283 sees me for the 1st time on top of my comp 1.07% clear of second, ave now 2220.

Also been considering Barlow options. Based on MVP one K. Simpson would be worth considering. His ave is about 15pts less than the uber prems but you get to pocket 100k. His 8th ton (151) on the w/end shows he can score his share of big scores.
Interested to hear comments (even biased carlton ones)

i lost. 2164/GAJ. this is my 3rd straight defeat. Need to turn things around but with 3 trades left i can’t.

Pleased i swapped nic-nac for Jolly last week but playing Jackson Trengrove while Mat Maguire is injured is killing me. Other poor performers were Hall (39!), P Davis (52!) and Bartel (79, hopefully just an off-week).

Not sure what i can do from here. 3/4 of the last league games are very winnable though. i still have a good chance of making the top 8.

2359 this week have held off all season for GAJ but with Brlow going down will now seriously consider grabbing him.

Serious concerns over Hall being so incosistent

Scored 2263 to beat top position by 40. That now puts me 6th on the ladder but 2nd in overall points. Need to trade Barlow and Grimes this week. My bench coverage is too weak. Only have 8 trades left.
My backline is Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Gilbert, Goodwin, Sheppard, Grimes
My middle is Ablett, Hayes, Murphy, Boyd, Martin
With the $15700 I have in the bank it gives me $968,300 to spend to replace Grimes and Barlow. Any suggestions?

Did ok this week scoring 2378. Unfortunately i have to trade out Barlow and Ziebell, with both of them breaking their legs on the weekend.
I think i’ll be going with a barlow > montagna trade, other options i would consider would be pendles, cross, selwood, priddis, gibbs, murphy, boyd or watson. If i go with montagna mids will be GAJ, Swan, Montagna, Goddard, NDS and Judd.
Also would anyone have any ideas of a forward replacement for
Ziebell($295,000) i currently have $168,500 in the bank which gives me $463,500 to work with.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated :)

2320 was pretty happy with that effort, looks like Gazza is coming in this week for Barlow, but will wait until the final teams come out on Friday arvo.

Scored 2608! My third straight week over 2500, and am now up to 99th overall!

I’m getting excited, I gained roughly 200 point on the leaders, and now have visions of 50 grand running through my head!!!
