  1. 370 (3) Treloar VC.
Welcome to team Adam Treloar. Yes I am taking the 158. Top marks also to Grundy 144 and just a pass for Parfitt 68 .
Waiting to see if I will utilising Noble’s 62?.

    1. Nice start CT. I was tossing up Treloar or T Kelly and went for Kelly so I could get B Smith next week. Ah well………

  2. 366 (2) Looped Grundy’s VC already. Simpson my other score as ‘E’
So while I’m here I need to decide M8 this week

    TU – Pickett
    TD – Bennell

    1. Wondering why majority have voted for Bennell over Pickett. Pickett has been down on form but we know he is capable if he can put it together. We know what Bennell was capable of in the past, but is yet to score over 60 since returning.

      1. For mine they could be opposite trajectories. Take out Pickett’s amazing GF and his 2020 form has been mediocre and dipping. Bennell had/has a huge ceiling and looks to be building nicely.

End of the day it’s just a gut feel decision.

Hoped he’d break 160, but slowed down a bit. Treloar had a cracker, Simpson had a better second half. Great first night.

  4. 97 / 1 / Neale into Goldy

Maynard was my only player last night with Duncan sitting on my pine.

Sidenote – Adams and Treloar both like like great upgrade options and were sitting at 1.9% and 2% ownership heading into this round so are great PODs too.

  5. 284 (3) VC Grundy

5 minutes before the game started I reversed my trades of welcoming Treloar (Fyfe replacement) & Rankine and went for the “building the bank” option of Simpson & Rankine instead. Happy enough with Simpson’s 78 (after he was on 20 at 1/2 time) but missing Treloar’s 158 hurts. Will no doubt take a hit this week, with one less premo, but hopefully the rest of my team can take up the slack. Anyone know how much Treloar will cost next week?

    1. The supercoach gods have blessed you again.

Like last week I thought I had you beat by 1 point evening after scaling but they still found you an extra 3 points to make it a comfortable victory #stillbleedin’

      1. Hahaha, Yeah was watching that closely and I thought I did have you comfortably covered until Williamson And Cripps went down in the first half. Geez, talk about an emotion roller coaster!

Back after missing two rounds so thought it worthwhile posting probably my best first night score. Grundy, Treloar and Danger played last night but troubles ahead with possible donuts coming, guess you just can’t have two rounds off and come out ahead.

Tech team suffered more as I discovered 5 midfield donuts alone on my return from the Gulf.

Projected approx 2190. Doc, Sicily, Oliver, Bennell, Gawn, King and Doedee to come.

  9. 15/1664/Grundy

Only 3 scores under 100, those being Neale, McCluggage and Budarick. Wasted 34 points choosing Budarick over Taylor

  10. 1393/13/Grundy

Rookies like Rankine, Pickett, Simpson and Taylor putting in work to make up for “meh” premo scores from J. Kelly, Bont, Neale, Whitfield and whatever the f*ck Dev Smith is doing these days.

Doch, Cripps, Sicily, Titch, Petracca, Gawn and three rookies left. Can press 2300 if everyone fires.

Cracking start to the weekend with Simpkin 57 my lowest on field score.

Doc, Laird, Doedee, Hill, Cripps, Mitchell, Serong, Gawn, Andrew Brayshaw, Rozee to go. If Rozee can turn his form around and post a decent score I may break 2400.

Not having popular picks D. Smith, Starc, Haynes, Neale has paid off this week. Can’t believe only 2% have Treloar. Purely because of his injury history?

With some money in the bank I’m thinking of T. Brown + Budarick to Macrae and M. Frederick from Freo providing he has a good game. Macrae’s price is only going to go up now but I want to bring B. Smith in. Do I go Macrae and get Smith the following week?

  12. 1308 / 13 / Grundy

    To come:
Doc, Laird, Hill, Oliver, Serong, Gawn, Andrew Brayshaw, Petracca,Doedee

Happy to take Simpkin’s score over him being injured for a long time.

Injuries have been brutal this year for one and all. That’s my sixth on field injury for the year. Increasingly focusing on bench cover, especially with the byes coming up.

  13. 1246 / 11 / Goldy

    Positives
    * Parker and Cogs hitting the 140s, especially Parker as a POD somewhat making up for a stinker last week
    * Rankine and Pickett both getting a ton
    * Lowest on field score is Dev Smith’s 71

    Negatives
    * Goldy still tonned up but not enough for a C score. He was let down by a non-existent midfield. Cunners out inj, Ziebell off injured in the Q1, Simpkin missed much of the first half with an ankle and Higgo playing off half back.

Still to come: A mix of rookies and premos with 2200-2300 being the area I’m heading for. Good score if I can get it with a lower C score.

Just need a 64 from King for 2300.

What are we thinking par will be this week?

    Brodie Smith to come
Pretty happy I brought in Petracca for that cat Ceglar. I advise anyone who has him to bite the bullet. Gee it felt good.

  16. 2146 / 19 / Gawn
Butler, Doedee & King to come.
    Hoping for 2350+

Hill and Simpkin disappointments. But glad Simpkin not badly injured.

Lucky to have VC on Neale and not Grundy as would have taken Grundys score.

  17. 2172/20/Grundy
Only have Doedee and King left, estimated to get 2320 this week. Pretty happy with what I will get this week after the shocker last week
My POD of Langdon has failed me this year, only 82 this week and hasn’t broken 100 since he was brought in round 2. Scored 120 Rd 1 and was on fire at the end of last year. Was worth the risk for this crazy season

  18. 2245/21/Grundy – With Doedee to play.

Seems to be a slightly above average score, made a howler starting Serong over Pickett & then there is the stain on my team that is Rozee… The Melbourne V Hawks game I had 4 premiums who combined to average 150+ each with gave me a boost but the games either side hurt my team bad, the good thing is the bad spots of my team outside of Rozee are all rookie problems which is to be expected really. Gawn of course, & Petracca & Greenwood the stars this week.

  19. Set for a huge round. I only need a combined 519pts from Doedee and King tonight to crack 2500.

TU – Aim higher. They’ll get you to 2600.
TD – Be more realistic. They’ll ONLY get you to 2400.

  20. 2063/20/Gawn

This week is just bitter sweet.
You feel great when you back Captain Gawn, and Petracca, Sicily, Danger, Macrae score over 120, then you know you are in real trouble when none of:
Neale, Cripps, Doherty, Parfitt, McKenzie, D.Smith, Simpkin, Pittonet , crack the 90. Some close, others Pittonet.
That’s Supercoach and you have to take the good with the bad, I am sure some are worse off than I am, so I will be happy with 2150
Overall, I am glad for owners of players like Treloar, Parker, Greenwood and Cogs. They are all on my watching list, and I am happy I can pick some now before their prices sky rocket.

Pretty happy with this score. Really, really annoyed I didnt trade Pittonet to Gawn this week. Has lost me just as much cash as I would have if I didnt trade Starcevich to Day. If I had Gawn I would been 2350+.
In terms of next week, is it worth missing the Bailey Smith train in order to get Gawn in?
Also, is Simpson still worth bringing in even after this weeks price rise?

    1. Hazza, Gawn is an imperative. He becomes the number one player to have except of course if you want him to reach $800k before you get him.

  22. 2104/19/Grundy
Laird, McPherson and King to play so hoping for atleast 2300
Negatives – Cripps, D. Smith, B. Smith, Neale, Serong, Hill
Positives – Petracca, Grundy, Gawn, Sicily, Rankine, Pickett

  23. 2227 with McCasey to come. Highest score in my main league atm but I’m gonna lose unless McCasey can defend my 6pt lead and hold off Doedee.

  24. Sitting on 2083
    With Doedee-laird-king to come,
Pro-2337 which I’d be rapted if they all get close to expected scores.
Bit of a weird rd for me and probably most,
Took Grundy VC score, could of took a punt on Gawn as cpt but bird in the hand.

With hill, serong,Bennell and titch,Neale and Cripps not scoring much wouldn’t have thought I’d go close to 2300,

But Gawn Petracca Sicily Danger and a few others dragged me up in score.

My best score all year by a long stretch.
    Not posting this to brag,
I’ve had a horror start to the year
    85,000 after the first round,
    9,000 at the moment,
But I’ve preserved and not lost interest or rage traded anyone (well maybe one).

    Best of luck tonight coaches

Pittonet and Townsend were particularly dire.

But that’s okay because Pitto is Gawn (see what I did there).
